Link?
Nothing solid, just reading comments in Gamestop's announcement from last week about the preorders getting postponed, and other places.
Did a generic search on X for "Switch 2" and have been browsing the comments.

Hopefully first the news about Vietnam being quick to ask for negotiations and the 90-day suspension today will quiet rumors and news about Nintendo raising the price above the initial $449.99.

First thing I thought of when I saw the news.

Doesn't explain the pre orders not being canceled for Europe. Cope is real

Is this shocking? I guess it is if you expected them to pack in the DLC with the switch 2 edition. Maybe they should have, but I'm not surprised they didn't.

What's mystified me is why they never came out with an enhanced Switch dock that had additional hardware in it, if they needed to step up performance to meet current generation expectations.
Because of developer response to the N64 Expansion Pak.
You don’t want to bifurcate development considerations with players having different levels of hardware to optimize to.
Alternatively, you can beef up internals so everyone has the ability, but battery life is poor so you get a de facto bump when plugged in, but that would compromise Nintendo’s persuit of consumer quality in their designs.

New chatter among the various gaming sites is that the preorders could open next week, depending on retailer.

I think I'm going to just gamble on getting a day 1 order invitation from Nintendo instead of camping retailer websites to try and snag a pre-order.

For the gaming industry, yes.
Pretty much all later re-releases of games that had major DLC always includes the DLC by default in the re-release. Re-releases never sell as well as they did at launch, so you gotta do things to entice people to generate sales.
This is especially true in this day and age. 90% of a games sales come within the first three months of release.

This is true in general but Nintendo is a little slower to do this with first party games. This is the reason I almost never buy games right at release. It's too predictable.

$5 more for the Pro Controller is the only thing that impacts me.

The Dock Set is intriguing. I guess that's the standalone dock itself so if you want to have another TV to drop the Switch 2 into, elsewhere in the house.

Do you guys mostly just get your games digitally? Obviously, the MK World bundle will just be a code for the game. More okay with that these days since I'm mostly a PC gamer anyway. But there is a bit of nostalgia actually owning the boxes for all the games you have for a console system.
Of course, they cost more now for physical copies.
