I for the life of me CANNOT win the Heisman on NCAA 14 with Tennessee's QB

I'm at a point where I don't know what else to do, my guy will set records, go undefeated, lead the Heisman watch rankings all year, then still finish second at the end to someone else

This particular year my QB led the nation in yards and TDs setting the record for TD passes

My QB: 227.4 rating 290-385 4916 yards 65 passing TDs, 21 interceptions (little higher than I'd like)/ 366 rushing yards and 17 rushing TDs and In the last game threw for 345 yards, 4 passing TDs, 3 interceptions and one rushing TD

He lost out to Louisville QB who had a 186.3 rating, 241-362 3345 yards, 48 TDs and 4 picks. He had 771 yards rushing and a 11 TDs

My team went undefeated and his 9-3

The only advantage I can see with the Louisville player is the interceptions, everything else is in my players favor (has less rushing yards but about 50 less attempts and most of those are sacks but I'm sure the game doesn't know the difference)

This has happened 4-5 years in a row and I just don't know what else to do, it's not that big a deal but it bugs me. Anyone else experience this?

ETA: I think NCAA has some sort of Peyton Manning curse

Yea it's a lot, was much better until I threw 6-7 in the last two games

Still with those stats and not dropping down the Heisman watch id still think I'd win

Like I said it's happened like 5 times (with less interceptions) so it's pissing me off

You might wanna throw that Opposite CPU Interception slider to the far left or whichever way reduces the chances of throwing a pick.

Don't let them rag you about the cheese. I do it. Kinda had to to build UAB up from nothing. Three BCS champs in a row baby!!!.

Cheese = cheating, taking advantage of game mechanics, loopholes in game

Ohhhhh

I don't really think I do that, just throw a lot of medium to deep balls and guy's get open. Run a lot of different plays and actually have a fairly balanced offense as far as run vs pass

In this particular season I passed more than I usually would though trying to finally get that Heisman then this shite happened again

I def don't have the difficulty jacked up though, I've played NCAA for a LONG time and have always enjoyed it on the level it comes on (I think that's what I have it on anyways). Next time I get bored with it though I may start a new dynasty at the highest difficulty just to do something new

that's what you call it.

i call it opportunities.

especially how often safeties and corners bite on play actions so easily in this game.

I wouldn't necessarily call it cheating. If it's a mechanic the game allows, then it's fair game. It's just....why are you playing the game if you are more interested in just winning instead of playing it as intended? It's no fun for anyone unless you're just one of those assholes that isn't having fun if he isn't winning, and at some point, no one wants to play with you.

NCAA '09. Just put your RB as your QB and instantly run to the right or left after you hike the ball. Guaranteed 10 yards on the default difficulty.

Bc you've thrown 20+ picks. The heisman voting drops you a ton for that

Nope, no cheese at all

Not trying to be a dick, but how is that even fun?
Do you flip over the checkers board everytime you realize you're about to lose a game?

Idk it's just how I've always played it and always enjoyed it

I'm not sure how running a normal pass heavy offense with great players is "cheesing" as yall call it though I have def ran up the score this season trying to get past this Heisman thing

I see the earlier reference to play action which I don't run but 2-3 times a game anyways just cause a lot of times it'll get you sacked but if the corners/LBs bite on play action I don't see how the hell thats taking advantage of broken parts of the game

That's the whole damn point of play action

I used to play an online dynasty with friends back in the day and I remember it used to be that every year whoever was in 2nd in the heisman race would jump the person in 1st the last week. Didn't matter what the stats were. I just remember a couple times that my player led the race all year long, then the guy in 2nd leap-frogged me the last week every damn time. It was infuriating. And it wasn't because he played an extra conference championship to pad his stats or anything like that. In fact one year I played in a conference championship while his team was idle, I won the title and had great stats, then boom, leap-frogged again. It was like a troll EA put in their code.

ETA: and I looked at EVERY possible explanation, nothing made sense. We played the same position (QB) and I had the better overall stats and record, my team finished ranked higher, etc. Needless to say he enjoyed trolling me about it for a long time afterwards

You gotta setup the play action. You have to run for so many yards of the corresponding run play of the play action to setup the play action. I'll run the read option 2-3 times in a row until the PA play is setup, and Boom! 60 yd TD pass!
