Ubisoft has suggested the microtransactions it includes in premium titles like Assassin's Creed and Far Cry make those games "more fun" for the players.

if it wasn't true, we wouldn't have Beavis and Butthead in Warzone right now.

At Ubisoft, the golden rule when developing premium games is to allow players to enjoy the game in full without having to spend more. Our monetization offer within premium games makes the player experience more fun by allowing them to personalize their avatars or progress more quickly, however this is always optional.
It’s investor fluff.

For the record - I have no heartburn with PURELY COSMETIC skins/avatars/clothing/etc items that are reasonably priced. Having said that, they are rarely reasonably priced and this income stream incentivizes the company to block/restrict mods that reduce the value of these items.
I am 100% opposed to any sort of loot box gambling proxy or pay-to-win, which is the business model for EA and increasingly Ubi.
When I see games that are EA or Ubi, I just move on. They're capitalists and I am a capitalist. I'm voting with my money.

There are a few people who ardently defend Ubisoft on here, They will be here to tell you it is no big deal, investor meeting, etc.
Just search "return to form", and you will find their posts celebrating games because they hate the people who hate the game

still being a shite stirrer, I see
I have never defended the BTS practices of Ubisoft, or Bethesda, I just like their games and won't apologize for it
I've played a crap ton of AC, Far Cry, hope they revive Splinter Cell at some point, and they've fixed Outlaws to the point where it's a pretty fun game, and that's it
I think the one microstansaction I've ever done was a black and gold skin for Halo Infinite, so no, I don't agree with this statement
if people want to spend their money on this stuff, more power to them, but they play no factor in my enjoyement of any game

I think they have mistaken (purposefully) the fun people have from the item they get from the transaction for the transaction itself.

I didn't remember if you were one of the "like it to own those guys" people
But the brokeback cowboy guy you recommended is definitely among them.

I think asians drive the market for cosmetic stuff, I could be wrong. Why would I spend 4.99 on something that doesn't affect my play, and why would I spend 4.99 on something that does affect play that should have been in the game I paid full price for?

Sure, but even they aren't having more fun *because* of the transaction
The item the transaction gives them makes the game more fun for them, not that they get to buy it. If all those items were free and you just earned them, the game would be just as fun.
Games make bank on microtransactions, so they aren't going anywhere. I have no issue with cosmetic ones if people are willing to buy them, go for it.

Cowboy is alright, will forever love his Dark Souls 3 video series, helped me tremendously with that game. That clip I sent you was a snapshot where he had finally had enough of people trying to sniff out "woke" with every damn thing, and I'm with him.
He played a lot of For Honor, so I'm guessing he's a decent enough fan of Ubisoft. I don't know how long he played Shadows but I'm fairly certain it wasn't out of spite.

Every clip i see of him is him talking about people who don't like a thing, so here he is enjoying said thing.
Dude is little more than a extreme lefty "male feminist" Drinker.

That's what happens when you're specifically looking for a thing. His entire channel is comprised of playthroughs. He has one series on Death Stranding 2 that's currently 66 videos long.
I know there's people who like to clip out Asmongold's videos of him saying off the wall shite, but I'm sure that's not all his channel is about. I don't watch him, so I have no clue.
