From what I've read, Arkham Knight on PC is literally missing textures and certain lighting effects, still doesn't run well on high-end hardware, and looks objectively worse than console versions. Plus the 30fps cap.
Can confirm. My friend is running SLI 780s and it looks like shite. He tried disabling SLI and it didn't help. Apparently they're actually suggesting turning the settings down, even with the rigs in excess of the "optimum hardware" specs.
This may be the worst port I've seen and I bought GTA4.

Sterling has been all over it.
Very early on but it feels like they really wanted an open world game. So much so that they may have taken it too far but too early to tell.

fad that needs to die. as phenomenal as witcher 3 is, it's significantly hindered by having 100 ?s all over the map. i much prefer a focused narrative, a la witcher 2 or deus ex, where you hop from area to area and it opens up for you
wouldve been nice to have white orchard, then velen, then novigrad, then oxenfurt, etc etc. witcher 1 was awesome because you were just waiting for that new district of the city to open up and it made it super exciting. just give me the main quest, the side quests, and the monster hunts. go back to previous areas later in the game and change them (different weather, battered by war, burnt down, deserted, etc.) to make things come full circle while staying varied.
covering the map with artificial lengtheners adds playtime, but hurts replay value. im much more likely to play a game with a focused progression again than a game where i spend hours doing shite like closing rifts, clearing monsters nests, and the like. i dont want 100 smugglers caches to swim to.
unfortunately, this generation demands quantity over quality.
in the case of arkham, give me different districts with different focuses on equipment. have one that is batmobile-focused, one that's heavy on a certain gadget, yada yada yada. lots of people complain about the batmobile being rammed down your throat in this one. have one section of the game with it to change the pace
just my worthless opinion

'Linear' has become a bad word in gaming these days.

That's the first step.

Can't speak for the Witcher but I agree this happens too much. Playing Inquisition just felt like a bunch of filler

If I even finish the game. Once again, just like Inquisition

No shite. There are key buzzwords that they feel like they have to hit. Last of Us was linear but amazing. IMO it is more important to have an open environment that allow you to handle things differently, especially in combat. As for open world with side quests, often time they just become filler. I want to play the Witcher but a part of me wonders if I ever will.

It's like inquisition with more substance and better combat. You owe it to yourself

I mix it up between all of it as it seems to get tedious focusing on one part of the four missions (main, secondary, contracts, treasure hunts).

Nothing says you have to hit the question marks or do any secondary quests.

Was watching bikeman stream this game, and then heard him mention that he's probably done with it.
He said the game is a cluster fark on PC, literally unplayable. The crashes aren't even the worst part about the game.
Is it that bad?

Also worth noting that you can turn the ? map markers off.
Believe me, I despise filler, but hardly any of the side quests or contracts felt like filler at all. Witcher 3 is a massive open world game done correctly. There is filler, but it's neither necessary nor a detracting from the quality of the already long game (long with substance). I cannot say that about any other game. I didn't make it two hours in Inquisition.

glad I'm getting it for my xbone

Well said. Witcher 3 has so much great content that isn't filler.
I didn't think about turning off the ?s though. That is a good idea. After purposefully hitting all of them in Novigrad I will try this for SKellige since I just got there...................50 hours in.

Most reviews I read said to just turn them off and go play

Too many gimmicks, not enough fighting
Posted on 6/25/15 at 10:46 pm to Mr Gardoki
Yea I'm not trophy collecting for this. This weekend I'll finish that story and few side missions. It did not live up to the hype.

I'm trying to see if this game is worth getting and the last 2 pages are about the witcher.
So should I just go buy that instead?
