If I skipped the last DLC and skip right to the new one, how far behind will I be? I still have a level 31 titan. Quit playing in february or so.

Not far behind at all, you just need to make sure you buy House of Wolves as well so you can play the Taken King.

Pre-TTK Patch being released Tuesday, man a lot of new changes coming out.
Big things of note:
No more light leveling, straight xp leveling to the cap of 34 until TTK, introduction of light gear leveling (similar to ilvl in WoW).
You can start earning rep from Gunsmith for armsday.
Kiosks will be implemented for shaders/emblems, ships, & for exotics.
Early access to 7 TTK maps & 2 game modes (Rift & Mayhem)
New Quest UI will be introduced, also increased bounty slot. Also, any incompleted Y1 exotic bounties will auto-complete
Weapon changes (yay)

Love the new patch. Y'all need to get the messenger, that is all. Auto rifles will be good again. I think pest control matrix will be good. I'm upgrading my nl shadow and dead shot now also.

Anyone know how to get Crota's Bane on 2.0? I have completed the normal quest line before the patch and was working on the bounties trying to get the shaders. Now that the patch is here Eris morn doesn't have a quest for me and there are no bounties.
I wants the shaders now and she won't let me have them!
Side note: the quest line is still there for my other characters that haven't completed it.

You can't until TTK hits, she's going to be a main quest giver however which will allow us to work on our Crota's Bane rep once TTK rolls around.

In other news, on reddit they've now discovered all 105 new quests that will be introduced into TTK & have links to all of them. The links to the specific quests/questlines have pretty massive spoilers apparently, must.. not.. read..
