Yeah I don't expect to finish it quickly. More of a goal. I think by just by attempting to do all shrines I will get most of them.
On the game I just finish I had like 120 shrines, 200 seeds.

Other than that, the rest of the weapons aren't really worth the parts/price IMO
I bought the bladesaw just because I wanted to see that thing strapped to my back as I ran around. There was something extremely satisfying about killing moblins it. It was pretty sturdy, but I used it a lot and it broke pretty quickly. I agree that the shield and arrows are pretty much all that are really worth getting.

I finished my 4th beast last night and realized that I went backwards in terms of the importance of the skills/gifts that you acquire after beating each one. For me, I would have appreciated the Goron defense and the Urbosa's fury earlier in the game, but I ended up doing the beasts in the following order: Zora, Rito (which I never ever use...maybe it'll come into play against Ganon later?), Gerudo, and Goron. I would probably do them in this order on my next play through: Gerudo, Goron, Zora, Rito.

I just found an island where immediately upon landing all of your gear is taken away. Armor/weapons, everything. There's 3 orbs you have to bring to pedestals and fight dudes along the way with literally just what you find on the island. If you die you get sent back to the mainland. Very cool.
And one of the orbs I was trying to get went rolling off the cliff down into the water...and it didn't reset. So I had to jump down in the water, paddle and push it around the vertical edge to finally get to some lower rocks I could get it out and bring it back. Lawd that was way more than I bargained for there
I threw a few guardian swords onto the island from the raft... The only problem is when i finished the trial, I lost the guardian weapons because the game thought i have legit gotten them from the island. It made that trial extremely easy as I was able to vanquish every bad guy on the island in about 5 minutes.
I too had a ball fall in the water, luckily it was close enough to land that I could use cryonis to build an ice pillar under it.

dude, the rito gust is incredible for scaling mountains or getting around hyrule. how do you never use it? I used it every time it was off cooldown.

About to say, I'd take that over Mipha's Grace or the goron one easily if I had to choose. I use it constantly.

choosing between fury, gale and grace is tough
the goron one is really useful as well, but not as rewarding as the others

Literally my favorite thing in the game so far.

Yeah it's the stand out moment from the whole game as far as I'm concerned. thrill of discovery, surprise, change of pace and it's challenging but not nes challenging

Rivali's Gale can't cool off fast enough for me. It's not just scaling mountains, it also makes it easy to get to the top of enemy encampments to get the chests and in fighting tough enemies - floating and barraging a lynel or guardian with arrows works beautifully.
Spend some time using it and getting used to it and you'll never stop using it.

If I had to choose just one I'd have a hard time between fury and gale. I use both regularly. If just two then those easily. Goron thing is nice but not necessary and Grace I almost feel cheap when I use it.

Hey I didn't say I don't use it
Finally found who had the Zora legs and got the full set. I think I just don't have the climber legs, barbarian chest, and the male Gerudo set.

The voe set is my go to for desert (has defense and is upgradeable) grabbed it immediately then kept working on getting enough for the radiant armor.

Just found this link that shows of all armor found so far. I see they actually have the tunic sets from the older Zeldaa available somehow. Here I was thinking I had everything I haven't come across any of those.

So I beat it last night. I'll skip all that to say I just turned it on to see my completion percentage.
It's only 25%.
I thought I did a pretty good job exploring too.

Finished my last run today. Found 800-something Korok seeds. I have no idea where the rest are and I don't care.
I started using an online map but got bored plotting them all and comparing what I had already found. Nope.
Time to hand the Switch over to the kid and move on. All in all, had fun. I can see why some love it and why some feel this isn't a good Zelda game. I'm not invested in the series enough to care about the lore, though. I just wanted to explore the world. Great world design; I'll give them that.

Finished it last night and wasn't even thinking about fighting Ganon. I was looking for the damn memory that was inside the castle and had been climbing all over the damn thing for days when I saw the undulating bulb hanging in the Sanctum and I was like, "What the hell is that?"
I had only completed three of the divine beasts at the time and I didn't even know it was an option to fight Ganon before I had done that. Made me fight Thunderblight Ganon and then only three lasers to drop Ganon's health to about 2/3 strength after that. Great fight with him though, Ganon looks damn amazing.
