I figured the shooting stars were something. Haven't tracked any.

Has anyone had any luck with star fragments? I've only seen one, and I've been playing like nonstop. This is killing me.

It takes time. Spent a whole day farming star fragments.

Get on top a mountain over looking Hyrule or the desert. When the star drops mark it and fast travel or run to that location. Once you get a star just camp fire it until the next night. Star fragments usually drop only 1 a night, rare occasions you will see more than one in an area per night.

Is it best to stick to one location each night, or jump around?

Really doesn't matter. I just jumped around because of boredom.

Star fragments never disappear. The one I saw and marked I got it weeks later in the game

Wasn't certain if they disappeared or not. I just mark and pick up in the same night to be sure.

I would think a blood moon resets them, it resets everything else?

I'm not sure, either. Just after I posted my question, I saw another shooting star fall. So far, the only two that I've found were ones that I saw falling. I would think that if they stayed forever, that I would have run across a bunch of them by now.

Also I also believe they mostly fall during full moon nights. Maybe because I can see them easier but idk, just an observation.

Edt: Also a little tip. If you want to know the upcoming moon cycle for that night, speak to Hino at Dueling Peaks Stable.

But there were a number of blood moons in between

I'm starting to think this is the indesputable greatest game ever made. I think the people at Rockstar are thinking "frick" when it comes to Red Dead Redemption, and are completely going back to the drawing board with Grand Theft Auto 6 due to this game. The game is a masterpiece that seems to be as big of a jump as Mario from 2D to 3D. It changes everythzing.

I am too. I'm really spending a lot of time in just one area on this playthrough and that alone feels so massive and full of shite to do so by the time I do every area like that this game will feel bigger than my first playthrough. I'm on a zero tolerance policy with fast travel and have been using horses which I barely used first time

To build that village, frick the horses. That would take 10 times longer.

If you're farming Hinox parts, a quick easy way to do it if you're a decently high level is get close to it and use all of Urbosa's fury and it's dead.

Gracias.

I ended up finding the third to fully upgrade the guardian armor.

I also saw one fall around 5 game time. I warped to a temple to get closer to it, but turned out I was still pretty far off. At 7 game time, I was just about to it and it just disappeared. Didn't roll away or anything... just vanished.

This guardian armor is FIRE! I just got it. Farmed so much guardian parts I upgraded all of them all the way as soon as I got it xD

Yea, I had more guardian parts than I knew what to do with until I got that armor. The only drawback was I needed to find star pieces to fully upgrade it, which is a pain in the rear.

On a positive note, when I was scanning the sky for shooting stars one night, I ended up seeing a bright blue haze in the background. Without spoiling anything, it was definitely worth finding out what was going on. This game just keeps surprising me.

I step back and start from scratch and it's easier than shite and I feel the satisfying "duh I'm an idiot" but I think that's intentional on their part

The constellations shrine exemplifies that for me

When I first got in that shrine I tried going off of the number of endpoints on each constellation

Honestly, I tried that right after I tried going off if the number of corners in each constellation.... and then I said screw it and looked online.

Stuck on one last shrine for the full 120. I spent an hour last night lighting campfires and waiting for a blood moon... it never came. Not sure if it's a glitch or there's a trigger I'm missing, so I guess I'm going Lynel hunting tonight.
