It's just as hard getting to Ganon as it is actually fighting the motherfricker. Swear to god, those guardians are like walking water temples with laser beams.

I'm not ready to pull the trigger on a Switch because I don't know what else they have coming down the pipeline, but I wouldn't mind picking up a WiiU for this and Mario, MarioKart, etc.
Should I forego that thinking and pick up the Switch instead?
I don't do portable gaming unless I'm taking a shite.

if you can pickup a refurbished wiiu for cheap from gamestop I would certainly consider it.
a lot of us are playing on the wiiU and love it.

Well I guess that's up to you. Personally, if I'm going to drop some money on a new console, I want one that's going to be around the longest. Since it's new, I think the Switch is the way to go. That's just my opinion though. I think they have a lot of good still coming for the Switch, just may be a little while. Zelda will keep me busy for a loooooong time.

This. It depends on what price you can find it for. If you already had a Wii U, I'd say it's a no-brainer to just get Zelda for that, but if you still have to buy in, might as well get the newer one.

I'm not convinced of the Switch yet, so I'm playing it on Wii U as well.
The frame rate chugs occasionally but it does the same thing on the Switch when playing it docked. It doesn't detract from the game, though.
If you don't already own a Wii U, however, I don't think I would run out and buy one just for this game. I'd probably wait to see if the Switch has much of a future (and for them to work out any hardware issues) before picking one up with Zelda.

Well I'm an Xbox guy that doesn't have a ton of time to play, but I really want to play this new Zelda game.
And seeing as Nintendo probably won't make another Zelda title (unless they do a remaster of an older one) before the end of the Switch life cycle I am hesitant to pick up one.

Yea, I get that. This is the first Nintendo console I've had since the N64. Actually the last console I bought was the PS3 (I've been pc gaming the last 10 years). But looking at BOTW footage, I just couldn't hold back any longer. I got lucky and snagged one at Target Monday morning.

You're going to get this, the best version of Mario Kart and a new Mario.
I'd pick up the Switch if you WOULD get a WiiU just for those games. There's a heavy chance we get another Mario Maker and some VC Mario titles.
