Throwing in the towel for the night, it's been a long time since I played a game this long without noticing time slipping by. Starting to get a little delirious. Can't wait to do it again tomorrow.

played first hour or so this morning, got to one of the shrines with the lazer beam rock guys. shot one with 9 arrows thinking i would kill it and couldnt find a path to the shrine, then the kid wanted to play lego Jurassic Park. should i save these fire and ice arrows for something special?

This happens a lot. I find you roll up in an area not knowing the lvl of enemies and youre a 1 shot.

I walked all the way on the beaten path to Zora's Domain and Zora king with no weapons. This weird arse king Zora is already trying to hook me up with his daughter lol.
God the enemies are strong as hell in this game from the very beginning.

You need something more than fire and ice arrows to take those bad boys down. I remember there was a hint once I was killed that said avoid them entirely until you've built up a huge arsenal and tons of heart pieces. They take like 7 in a single hit. They're bad mother frickers.

I'm usually killed once or twice trying to get up those towers, but there was one I got to where I gave up after one try knowing there was no way in hell I was getting up that thing with my current stats. Found and beat a shrine near it though so I can teleport and only be there in about 10 minutes.

pro tip for noobs. if you cook 5 shrooms at once, it gives you 1 food thats worth 5 mushrooms... i just tried to cheat my way up a mountain by refiling my stam and was shocked when i ran out of food after 1 go after cooking 5.

3 shrines down. gotta figure out the recipe so i can get to the 4th in the cold zone, temple of time says they have a reward for 4 spirit orbs. no idea where to even get meat to experiment with recipe.

Just hold 5 peppers and cook. 12mins of cold res.

It is hard to live up to any Zelda hype TBH. It is doing a great job so far. I can't believe how much i'm enjoying the survival stuff like cooking. Just wished the game looked a little better. I think it looks like shtt on the big screen and performs like shtt when docked.
