Even though it's probably warranted, I wouldn't look too much into it. Famitsu has a history of giving subpar titles really good scores.

Phantom pain wasn't really my cup of tea, but I have to say it was a pretty deep game that gave you an immense level of freedom to complete a mission
The big flaw was the opening otherwise any fault I have with the game is just a matter of personal taste and not having played any of the previous games.
Not a perfect score but pretty damn close

Phantom Pain was definitely unique as hell, I give it that. Still the only castle building sim + open world shooter I've ever played.

Yeah, the reviews are pretty high in spoilers in terms of like the aspects of the game.
98 on Metacritic so far with 52. Pretty much every major outlet has given this game a 10/10. I've seen GOAT declarations... People calling this Nintendo's greatest masterpiece... etc etc

Yeah, this one is sitting at 98.
I agree with the point though, zelda comes with extra fanfare but holy shite read some of these reviews from non tech sites

I honestly wish I could play it. Going to be a good one.

SS is a good game. It racked up with some sites I've never heard of but I agree there was ridiculous praise that was unwarranted

Having not played any of this game whatsoever, critics say this about every Zelda game. Even Skyward Sword was called the best Zelda ever made.

Mainly just ign and the sites that splooge over Nintendo everything
Gamespot gave SS a 75, gave BOTW a 10 but it's really the sites not dedicated to gaming that stick out
