Like 50% of poeple in gamedev are obese with blue or green hair, this shouldn't be shocking lol. It'd be one thing if Sucker Punch chose not to fire her and issued a statement of support or something - I could see why someone would take a stand on that. It shouldn't be a surprise at all

I am waiting for reviews from guys I typically trust.
Nothing to do with any "woke" or whatever
But the unnecessary bullshite surrounding Sucker Punch has them in wait and see mode for right now
And if you check my posts when this was announced, I said "sucker punch earned the benefit of the doubt" because of the first game.
But weird arse community managers, strange combative interactions, and shite like that gave me a bit of pause.
I hope the game is good, because I really want it to be. But I cancelled my pre-order a while back. The Tranny/Kirk nonsense was just sprinkles on the sundae, Sucker Punch handled it quickly, and appropriately.
I have a personal policy for the last couple years. If I feel a studio is courting controversy through contentious interactions with fans, virtue signaling nonsense, or anything with trannies. . .I put the game on hold for trusted reviewers. Luke Stephens (for anything non-BioWare), MrMatty (for anything non-Bethesda), SkillUp, and Legendary Drops are my mains. I don't pay attention to anyone who has a clear political bent, right or left.
There are 2 posters on this board that I pay attention to, as well. Not saying who.
If I hear the things I need to hear, I may purchase after a few months.
Hope it is at least as good as the first. Fingers crossed

been watching a guy who had early access yesterday and is playing today. looks like more of the same, which isnt neccessarily a bad thing. just a female character moving like jin did in 1. didnt really change the formula all that much it seems, not that they needed to

Just played for about 7 hours and while there are a bunch of new wrinkles/mechanics, the game, so far, plays very much like GoT. So, that's either good or bad depending on how you felt about GoT 
Also, a lot of Tarantino/Kill Bill vibes so far.
Aside from the gameplay, I think this is the best looking game I've ever seen on a console. Just absolutely gorgeous. I'm playing on a PS5 Pro on the "Ray Tracing Pro" graphics setting.

Only got through the tutorial and have to agree that it's beautiful. That open view to the mountain, and the first field you see that just a sea of purple. Really excited to get some more time into this one and BL4

I played a few hours of it and, while it is a beaut looking game, everything else feels like a reskin of the first one. With that said, I have only gotten the dual katanas, so far. There does seem to be more mini bosses than the original, which is a good thing. It is a lot of fun tho.

I agree. I'm enjoying it - doing a bunch of the side missions on my way to the dual katanas - and I know it's extremely early but the story is doing nothing for me so far. I'm sure it will get better but I don't love the bouncing back-and-forth between her childhood and present day. Seems hollow as of now.

My biggest issue with the story so far is that the main antagonist is just meh. His henchmen are much cooler and seem more dangerous than him. But I imagine that'll change as more of the story is revealed
