Ghosts was awful. But it was atleast somewhat playable.
MW3 was the last decent one they put out.
But if you've played COD since Finest hour, you'd be disgusted by the series. My personal favorite Call of Duty games are 2 (and the big Red One), 3 (second game I ever played on 360, with NCAA Football 07 being the first) and 4 was awesome because at the time, Call of Duty and Medal of Honor were known as WWII/ games. So when call of duty announced a modern warfare game, everyone was hyped about it.
Then Modern Warfare 2 was a turning point for the FPS genre.
And basically every Call of Duty game has been a copy of MW2 since and they're just raking in all the money they can make. If their games are selling, they're not going to change shite. Which is why I have given up on them.
Glad they released Black Ops to Xbox one. Been playing the shite out of it. Black Ops 2 was pretty awesome as well. I think they should've cut off the futuristic bullshite there and went back to their roots..
*all of this is based on opinion (Maybe a few facts thrown in)*

Yeah I just remembered BO2 came out after MW3.
I feel as though MW3 is the forgotten Call of Duty game. Anytime I'm talking about call of duty games, I forget to mention MW3.
Maybe that's just me though. It was a decent game. Nothing special. Just fun to kill some time with.

I think coming after BLOPS and having the MW name attached to it made that game living up to anyone's expectations an impossible task. I can't remember what problems it actually had, but most people weren't happy with it. I didn't play it a lot.
Is there any way of knowing how many people play a game on the PS4? I'd consider AW on it if I knew I could get into a game.

Yea I will be way South of you by the medical center and Rice. We usually stay at the Wyndham on Main St. We may have to live in Htown for a month or two actually if they put him on a clinical trial.

Don't waste your time on AW
I disposed ghosts off the bat. But I developed a little taste for it. Mainly because it was the only FPS my lady friend at the time had. But I actually tried pretty hard to get interested in AW. It was just a steaming pile of trash that I couldn't believe I wasted $50 on. I've been saying I wouldn't buy Call of Duty ever again... But someone always talks me into it. Black Ops 3 was the final straw though. I had some faith because the first two Black Ops games were solid. But BO3 miraculously found a way to be just as bad as AW

I played it on PC and really liked it. Problem was the PC COD community is non-existent.

Damn. I haven't played it on PC since CoD 2.. My favorite PC gaming memories growing up mostly came from Wolfenstein, COD, and C&C games (was never rich enough to get into PC gaming). And they're all dead now

It's sad, but the PC gaming community just doesn't gravitate to a shooter like COD anymore. AW is the most fun I had with a COD game in a good long time, including BLOPS 2, which I never got the hype around that one. I played Ghosts on a few free weekends and it was beyond meh. AW injected life and a much needed change into the series, but unfortunately people just were unwilling to go along with the future stuff and the jumping, which probably had a lot to do with how underwhelming Titanfall ended up being (another game I thought was good fun but just never caught on).
I played a lot of Unreal Tournament in my early PC gaming days, so maybe that's why I'm not put off by it.

broken record.
I think you're probably the only person on the internet who defends AW.

AW was a fun game, BLOPS 3 is a very fun game...I enjoy both. Not sure why people are so negative...probably the ones who get lit up for a 7-26 score

Unreal Tournament
GOAT
Idk why I can't get into all the futuristic stuff. I've tried, but it doesn't appeal to me whatsoever. Which is funny, because I love Star Wars and I loved Unreal Tournament back in the day. So I'm not opposed to futuristic warfare.
I think I'm just extremely disappointed with Activision/Treyarch or whoever makes the games now. Simply because they're soaking up every dollar they possibly can with DLCs, camos, etc.
If we go back 10 years. To 2006. That was the Call of Duty 3 days. You had 5 classes to choose from. And if you were American, you were limited to American weapons, and Germans had German weapons. No attachments or anything. You had artillery support that you could call in, but nothing super over powered. Just a simple FPS that was fun as hell to play.
When call of duty introduced Created Classes, it was ground breaking for an online shooter (Battlefield 2 gets an honorable mention for being one of the GOAT and for being revolutionary as well). Custom classes was an interesting new feature. I just wasn't a big fan of the perks. But they grew on me as I played.
Personally, I believe Call of Duty has peaked. And I'm sure many feel the same way as I do. Where they peaked exactly is debatable. I'd say somewheres between MW2 and Black Ops. While I believe BO2 was an awesome game, I believe it was released after COD reached its peak. Now it just feels like the same recycled dog shite year in and year out.
It has nothing to do with skill. I'm not great at these games, but I can hold my own.
Edit: To avoid posting again, I'd like to also add to this by saying I believe the franchise messed up by releasing a new game annually. I believe they should do this bi annually. Gives them more time to work with the games, and would probably help with the "recycled" feeling that each game has

It's more of a mod community. They've incorporated every MW map ever made into that one game. It's pretty awesome and impressive.

I remember only buying it on PC for that Star Wars mod they had going.
