(Assuming you're talking about the memory spot) have you looked down on it after launching into the air from a sky tower? Each of the glyphs have teardrop shapes in them, and you just try to find the one that's filled in. It's tough to see from ground level.

Correction - Tabantha Snowfield. Yes.

I didn't even think about the spot always being teardrop shaped. Thanks for the pointer.

Holy frick I just looked it up. I could've used the parasail to get over to the ball from the outset. I'm a huge dummy. Here I am placing constructs halfway up the rails, dropping them and letting them roll down, and then hopping on board and using Recall on them to reverse them back up the rails.

NoJ bigwigs are getting data on how folks are solving some of the puzzles and it's blowing their minds. That's part of what makes TOTK so great.

I'm right there with you when it comes to overcomplicating many of the shrines, however.

I now navigate uncharted sections of the Depths via overworld map when I have the Shrines mapped out.

I love this game makes you so stupid.

There's a shrine I think in the same area as the Tabintha snow field called "Courage to Fall" that had me dumbfounded for almost an hour.

The first one of these I ran into was 2 levels of floating platforms with archer constructs and then a bigger guy at the top. Struggled with it for a while, and as I'm finally beating it I realized the platforms they were perched on were movable. And they don't like water.

I'm proud to say I figured that one out pretty quick and finished easily. Probably helped that I walked in with ultrahand activated and they lit up.

Also the one where you have to build vehicles to beat all the constructs is very satisfying

Ran into my first Frost Talus. I only have four hearts so I pretty much couldn't take any direct hits. Also couldn't fight from range because his boulder throws are deadly and accurate. I died probably 30 times while gradually crafting and mastering a strategy consisting of: thaw with fire emitting weapon so he falls down, climb up his back, get 3-4 whacks in on the ore, jump off, open sail, bullet-time him with a cold Chu jelly arrow to refreeze him, and then repeat as soon as Link lands.

Took probably 15 cycles of this but it eventually worked. I now have a stick with a huge frozen heart on it as a trophy. Woo!

Yeah, as a habit I now carry a minimum of at least one unfused weapon for miniboss fights because if you take them down, there's often something they drop that can only be fused. You can't put something like the Stone Heart in your inventory for later.

Couple of tips for taluses...

If they are of the elemental variety, you can just throw an opposite elemental fruit at the body to get them to thaw.

And if you're having trouble getting on top, you can simply run right at them and use ascend to travel up through their body.

Use the rewind ability to throw their "arms" back at them.

I generally keep rewind available for any enemies that throw big rocks at you

Haven't thought to try Recall in that situation yet but will give it a go next time. Ascend... sounds ridiculous, but I'll try that too

The only time I've tried recall on rock throwing is with a Like Like that spits rocks. It did not work, unfortunately. By the time I had the rock in reverse, he already had a new rock spitting out. Against a Talus, this seems pretty useful, though.

Yeah, I did that for the Rock Likes, too but on a Talus, that's flat-out brilliant.

Yeah a lot of enemies it doesn’t really do much to other than just keeping you from getting nailed. It works really well on talus and horriblins though. It will knock a horriblin from the ceiling and stun them for awhile

Speaking of, the first time I saw one of these, it scared the hell out of me. It took a few fights for me to realize there's not much to them.
