Game is definitely more made for PvE and not PvP. Game devs are focused on that and have said if PvP is what you want, you may not find that improving anytime soon and they aren't focused on it.

I built a Viking long hall using the second bosses summoning spot as a centerpiece. Carrot Farm & Stone Tower with my teleport portals inside of it as well.
If a server happens, I would hope people don't cheat by bringing over gear & items, but I could see how restarting might be unfun.

I had a decent amount gear for the swamp biome, but ended up crashing my ship accidentally onto the Plains bio (highest level biome I think). The enemies destroyed my ship and killed me, and now all my good stuff is half a world away.
Course, it's also going to be an adventure getting it back, so there's that.

Finding the vendor has been a real pain in my balls. Just died when I got too close to the mountain and a pack of wolves killed me in about 3 seconds. Took over an hour to get to my corpse and then back home. Fell in the water and froze to death on the way to my corpse so I lost my previous grave marker. Good times.

If you like survival this is a no brainer. Well, I should say sandbox survival since there isn't a narrative. Just you against the world with the quest to defeat 5 bosses.
Went from little animals attacking my base to Trolls and Draugr. Draugr messed me up. I thought I was 100% safe by my base so I had minimum HP and stamina.
They are not dicking around. Draugr attack at night, then the next day a troll attack.
I'm still pissed about not finding the vendor. I think they really need to fix that. I do like how the game doesn't hold your hand had but given that biomes are spread out all over the place, it is near impossible to find that bastard in this HUGE world. Hell, I thought I had searched most of my southern region then found a little spot that went further south and opened up 2 different Black Forrest biomes.

I was coming here to say frick the ocean!
Spent 2 hours last night "trying" to circle my starting island.
Holy crap when the waves kick up during a storm! Then you get attacked by sea creatures.
Just when I though I was done encircling the starting island, a huge land mass pops up and I realize I need to back track 30 minutes just to get out of the damn cul-de-sac.
It rains too much. But..... all that miserable rain, sure makes it extra nice when it isn't raining and the waves aren't smashing you boat to pieces.
Oh and watch out for sandbars and rocks in the middle the ocean. Night is fracking dark!

I need better base defenses. I almost hate being at my base now because I keep getting attacked. Last night it was 2 trolls at once with clubs. Both attacking at different intervals. I can demolish a single troll but the timing was off and they got me.
I don't know if the attacks are based on number of days played, leveling, or some other trigger. I've been watching a streamer play and his base has been attacked one time by boars. lol.
I almost feel guilty that I only paid 20 bucks for this game. I will easily put a couple hundred hours into it.

Hopped on a server a couple of friends set up last night and one was showing me his base. 2 trolls come out of the woods and start wailing on us. I've beaten the 1st boss and my friend had done literally nothing but build this awesome outpost/compound deal. We ended up just hanging back behind the walls and pelting them with arrows for like 20 minutes
