Also, the only thing I really miss on the WiiU now are the Bayonettas, Wonderful 101, Mario Maker and Smash.

The Switch does nearly everything else better.

That is isn't true.

Off TV play was by far the best feature of the system. Being able to keep playing if the somebody else wanted to use the TV was incredible.

Moving things like maps and HUD displays to the gamepad was also great and really helped with game immersion when it was done well.

Do you have an additional console or just Switch?

yes, the ps4, and originally I traded off time playing my ps4 and my switch (when I only had minecraft and zelda on the switch).

Yesterday I turned my ps4 on for the first time in 3 months... to update it to 5.0, and then went to sleep.

except the range on it was atrocious - I couldn't even go into the room next to our living room with it. The switch fixed this 100% for me, and is the real way to do it.

it was alright - splatoon did it best and being able to look down at the map and see what was going on with the map was nice... but I don't even miss it now in Splatoon 2, like at all. So to me that's a pointless feature, when the game that did "huds" best on the gamepad now doesn't have a gamepad in it's sequel, and I don't even miss it after 3 months of playing the sequel.

Nintendoland was loads of fun too. If the Switch had that capability as an extra (keeping intact everything else), that would be nice. I don't see it as critical however.

I love my Switch. Easily my favorite console I’ve ever owned. That said I am more of a pc guy overall.

People have mentioned the major Nintendo titles as being a selling point, but I would also like to mention the indies like Steamworld Dig 2, Golf Story, Axiom Verge, Shovel Knight. And then there are several more in the works like Hollow Knight, and Darkest Dungeon. Sure, you can play most of those games on PC, but they really shine on the Switch.

Been debating the Switch especially since my daughter was born and I dont always want to go into my office/game room to play but given my job I have limited time to play.

Exactly the reason time bought a switch when my kid was born. It's awesome.

It's a pretty great piece of hardware but their software offerings are really no better than the Wii U yet. Fortunately, it's actually selling well so that will hopefully change.

Hadn't bought a console since Xbox 360. Bought a Nintendo switch. Love it. No regrets. Zelda & Mario kart

I'm also fairly confident they'll port these over as well with improvements. The Wii U was such a financial disaster and the Switch will outsell it tenfold almost certainly, so I see no reason why not. Smash 4 was awesome, so why not combine all the features of the Wii U and 3DS versions plus 8 new fighters?

Why is that funny?

3rd party titles that are on the other systems...that’s true.
I’m not saying it’s horizon

Don't give Nintendo more ideas they can ignore for a decade....

I'd be shocked if they don't do it. So easy to make the game and just add 8 players given the current grid. If I had to guess the 8:

Inkling (100% guaranteed)
Spring Man
Paper Mario
Wild Link/Zelda
Ice Climbers
Issac
Shovel Knight
Shantae
