I have to say, thank God Ganondorf is in the form we always wanted him in and he doesn’t blow chunks like he did in Brawl and Wii U. I love his Smash moves.

Anyone else using the joystick(s) that came with the console or the pro controller?
I feel like I almost have to break the toggle off when I'm wanting to smash attack or dash. Is it just me?
ETA: Just realized you can increase the stick sensitivity. Put it on high. Better but feels like there should be a higher sensitivity setting.
ETA2: So apparently what I'm struggling with, is if you don't flick the joystick/toggle properly the first time (for a smash or dash), you can't hold it down harder to do a smash or dash. You have to completely let the joystick/toggle go back to it's normal position, then flick again.
Very annoying.

I tend to use the Pro-Controller, but was handheld all day on a plane. Holy shite does hardcore Smash make time fly by.
Beat Ganon on World of Light, and still have two more “dungeons” to go, but the Sacred Realm was an awesome dungeon. Took me forever to figure out how to get Chrom, and I had to noob it down to Easy to get Bowser Jr, since I wasn’t even getting close on Normal to betting Ryu and Akira.

I have to say I wish Dark Samus wasn’t a clone and had her own unique move set. I think that’s what most fans had in mind when they requested her. Like the Boost Ball for Side B, Phazon Boost for Up B, Tentacles for Down B, and Echoes for all her Smash Attacks. Could have been very unique.

FYI, I am a tard.
I was changing the controller settings for my profile, not knowing that when I was playing, it hadn't defaulted to that profile.
Obviously once I swapped the profile, I could notice the change.
Went ahead and changed the left stick sensitivity to high, changed the right stick to tilt attack (instead of the default smash attack), and changed X & Y to grab.
Also, apparently if you change your D-pad to all shield and make a circular motion on it while grabbed, it counts as four inputs and can get you out of a stun/grab more quickly.

Got my GameCube control but gonna have to wait for the adapter.
Gonna be interesting to play on a GameCube control after 13 years.

Is anyone else having lag issues while playing online?
I'm hardwired in and there is at least a 1-2 second delay for me, while my opponents aren't having these issues.

I mean let’s just face it. Unless you’re 1v1 in person, the lag is gonna be real man.
You’re talking several thousand miles between people.

Get what you pay for. Not surprising with a brand new online service that only costs $20 that netcode is an issue.

I don't seem to have an issue on PC for any of the multiplayer games I play.
Just incredibly difficult to play a super fast paced game like this when you have to predict both your enemy and your own moves.
May also need to try out a game cube controller as well. With the pro controller, I feel like I damn near have to mash any single button as hard as I can for it to register, especially with the joystick. N64 version, you just had to tap and you were good to go.
Maybe I'm just out of practice on console. Otherwise, I'm not sure how people can enjoy playing Smash online.

I feel the same way. Though, even if Nintendo did charge $60, I don’t think anything would change, and they’re actually well aware of that.

I haven't played a lot online, but had no issues when I did play.

I have been having issues. When I make an Arena with friends, I’ve had pretty much zero input lag. But with random 1 on 1s I have constantly gotten like around a second of input lag.

Lol at this getting downvoted.
It’s true.

Noticed this thread is about 150 replies of the same 8-9 people talking about the game

Anyone know any Smash Ultimate tournaments in the Birmingham area?
Posted on 12/21/18 at 12:15 am to FourThreeForty
The online play for this game is so fricking frustrating.
I can't understand how some people are able to play it so smoothly with all the input lag.
I'll also walk up behind someone, smash attack them, but somehow they smash back and theirs overrides mine and I go flying.
I can't figure this shite out
