Star Wars Battlefront 2: Updates

I never bought BF2 due to the EA pay to win shite that came with it early out of the gate, but I heard/read the new updates that recently dropped made the game much better.
Anyone have any opinions on it? Anybody picked it back up since the ROS update?
Wondering if I should give it a shot at this point.

Do not pay any attention to the haters. It’s an excellent game and well worth buying. I’ve had it since launch and have had nothing but fun with it. I love it.

A buddy convinced me to check it out, since it’s inly 13 bucks right now. Gotta admit we’ve been having alot of fun on there.

Both Battlefronts, on their own, have been fun games. It's everything around them that have been challenging.

I've played pre and post-update. It's def much better than it was before, more specifically with the heroes vs. villains mode. They used to have it where you would target one of four of the heroes/villains on the opposing team, which ended up being pretty tedious since it was just a shitty version of hide and seek.
After the update, they just turned it into 4v4 team deathmatch. It's way more fun that way imo.

I subscribed to Origins again for this.
It's definitely better than when it first came out. You can spend an hour playing a single game of supremacy and it's awesome.

It's not a deep competitive team based shooter, but it is a fun Star Wars experience. And yes it has improved aot since launch.

This thread encouraged me to DL this game on Origin. All I've had time to do is play a few story missions, but gameplay is fun and the story is actually compelling so far. Main character is believably badass. The graphics are fantastic. The game just looks great.

Why is this game seeing a somewhat decent resurgence? I noticed that it only goes on sale for like $22.99 now (and it's a $29.99 game)? I got it on sale probably 9 months back for $5.99 on Amazon. I played for like 2 hours and never touched it again. About the only thing I play on Origin is Apex Legends but I may have to check this out again.

Yea they are. Damn frustrating game too, especially the Heroes vs Villains mode. Thats more because of the player base than the game, but holy hell the team balancing is so bad. Never in a close game. Either curb stomping or getting ruined. Been back playing this game for a few weeks now and don't think i've played a H vs V game where the match was decided by less than 15 points.

I’m talking about the connection. If your internet connection isn’t damn gigafi there’s a 75% chance you’ll get knocked out of supremacy or the other 20 vs 20 modes before it’s over.
I can play 4 hours of GTA in a row with a bunch of damn sand boys and banana republic dwellers and have no real issues. Hell on last year’s madden I could play 4-5 games in a row with no connection issues. I watch Netflix/Hulu/NBC Sports on my PS4 with high quality throughout. But 2 minutes into a Naboo Supremacy and everyone is jilting around like the little girl driver from Wreck it Ralph.
