How the mighty have fallen, they sat on a lot of great IP like Final Fantasy 7 and waited far too long to make some cash off of it.

Looks like handcuffing FF games to only Playstation wasn't such a solid business model after all.

They’re specifically talking about Japanese console markets. They still make an absolutely absurd amount on mobile games there which is (Japan) the number 1 in the world in players per capita.

Na they sold all their western studio's thinking they could NFT people to death, and shockingly(to fricking nobody) NFT's collapsed. Now they are in a bad place.

What do you mean? There hasn't been a Playstation exclusive mainline Final Fantasy since 2005.
Even with the games on everything, the games still sell a vast majority of their sales on Playstation. They've been saying this stuff since 2007 when they were justifying Final Fantasy XIII's multiplatform release and the "must appeal to the West" statements.

It's PS4/5/PC though.
Those games are never going on Switch if that's what you're after.
