The difference is not just the used games but the convoluted way it is being approached. Things like you can't sell a game to some unless they have been on your friends list for 30 days. No clear vision for rentals. Saying the disc is only used to install and no one can play it unless they pay the fee.
Sony is saying do what you want with 1st party games we don't care. Microsoft is leading the charge for these crazy rules. Sony is being transparent in 3rd party titles saying it's up to you if you want to add this crazy new DRM. We want no part of it.

Honestly the DRM thing doesn't bother me either way. The only way I buy the ps4 before the xb1 is if they can match online and speak up about dedicated servers. This is my main reason to get xb1 first.

Totally get that. It just seems that the MS crew was laughing at something that necessarily wasn't true.

I have done some trolling because honestly do like the Xbox a lot but the main reason I want it first is XBL. I could change my mind before launch given the right news tho. I do want to get both eventually tho.

You're not wrong. The DRM they won't stop only applies to things like online passes, which is how it is now like I said. They won't allow general disc based DRM.

You are right. But the xbox guys were clearly trolling. It was the usual suspects.
Sony did not lie. There will be no DMR, unless a 3rd party publisher goes that route. But it has always been this way. It won't happen.
