Sony is likely kicking themselves that they did not acquire fromsoft outright after demons souls. Probably didn’t seem appropriate at the time; but it would have been a home run in retrospect. Unless it created some weird monkeys paw scenario where a run of demons souls sequels wouldn’t have garnered the same success as multi plat dark souls titles. I probably wouldn’t have discovered the series when I did had it been a Sony exclusive.
I hope fromsoft remains independent and multi plat.

Sony acquiring any franchise is a net loss for the gaming industry since their HQ moved to California.

Bloodborne 2 was always going to happen. Just depends on whether it happens this generation or on PS6.

The interplay at Sony’s entertainment division between any remaining Japanese influence and the burgeoning California dipshittery will be an interesting thing to monitor.
My guess for bloodborne is that bluepoint will be tasked with a remaster and potentially given the keys to a sequel unless fromsoft is brought in. Bluepoint did well with the demons soul glow up so they seem like an obvious choice to spruce up bloodborne. Don’t know if they can make a fromsoft caliber title from scratch though.

I'd rather have Bluepoint do a remake of DS2
(with the removal of soul memory and ADP)

Ohhhh not sure how I feel about this. Fromsoft is the best developer of the 21st century and needs to be left alone to do its thing.

That's how I feel. I worry Sony will interfere and make things worse. FromSoftware has been cranking out masterpieces just fine without any outside help, they don't need Sony sticking their nose in and probably mucking things up.

Not at least being on PC would be the single dumbest move ever.
ANY console exclusives right now are really going about it all wrong. It's still way too difficult to get a PS5/XSX. Developers are hampering their market if they go console exclusive.

Umm, Sony's involvement didn't seem to affect how Bloodborne turned out
