That (Royal Rumble) and the sequel (Raw) were awesome because if you attacked the ref too much they'd get fed up and start punching you.

Raw was actually the one I owned. Could "accidently" run into the ref and knock him out to wallop a chair or pail over your opponent, then go for the pin when the ref woke up.
Had some fun modes in it, tag team, gauntlet, and Royal Rumble.

I thought WWE 2K19 was a really good game, so it's a shame it's back to the drawing board for this franchise.
That said, I don't understand how a franchise that is essentially the same game every year can vary so much in quality from here to year.

And Saturday Night Slam Masters.
Spent a lot on this back in the late 90s too. Having up to 9 people in the ring at once was insane back then.
