Hope they dont continue to water these games down. I mean I LOVED Skyrim and am still playing FO4 right now but People are right in criticizing the lessening of RPG aspects of these games over the years.

They need to include the modern things with bringing back the older style RPG stuff.

Part of the reason why Oblivion might be my favorite ES game. It has its flaws, but damn if the guilds and quests aren't incredible.

I definitely agree. Skyrim gets super repetitive after a while.

But I’ve never finished playing Oblivion because the game bugged out on me (Emperor doesn’t follow you through the city gates) and my last save was towards the middle of the game.

Let's also add, did you forget about the Axe that was going to cut your head off????? You know, by your friendly Imperials, and your crime?

What are you talking about? I started the game as a forsworn. frick the imperials and frick the storm cloaks.

THE REACH BELONGS TO THE FORSWORN

Skyrim is for the Nords. I picked Stormcloaks every day and twice on Sunday.

Guilds are after thoughts, kind of just crow barred into the game.

Wut? Thieves guild is my favorite quest line. DA and Companions are also really fleshed out as well. Also the collage has a great quest line. Man y'all will hate anything.

Console or PC? Because I can practically guarantee that we can find a fix if you are on PC.

If you aren't, then you should be. Game of the Year Edition Deluxe is on sale for less than $10 on Steam right now. You've played Shivering Isles, right? One of the best expansion/DLC ever released, right?!?

Just do it. Oblivion is awesome. Shivering Isles is awesome. Be awesome.

It's not a matter of hate; it's simply a matter of relative value. Oblivion's thieves' guild quest line is one of the best quest lines I've ever experienced in gaming. Skyrim's is ok, I guess? The mage guild's quest line is utterly generic, and the dark brotherhood barely deserved to be called a quest line.

It's ok to love Skyrim and acknowledge that the guilds weren't its strong suit. Hell, at least the guild quests were more interesting than those in Morrowind. Those guild quests were basically just a series of disjointed fetch quests.

I enjoyed the imperial playthrough more. That Sgt Barnes esque general was a real man's man. The mess in the beginning where they wanted my head was all just a big misunderstanding. We hashed that shite out.

The College questline should have been much more in depth and should have explored the Psijic order more.

Not to mention that the Thieves’ Guild completion reward in Oblivion is one of the most fun items in the entire franchise and in Skyrim is some lame arse daily temporary power you’ll likely never use

Oblivion with some mods to simply improve deficiencies (new face mods to get rid of potato heads, unofficial patches, etc) is one of my all time favorite games. Might be my favorite. The quests are just so incredible.

I fired it up again not too long ago, and being it wasn't my first (lulzy) play through, I added an easy level up mod that allowed you to not worry about leveling up all the same skill to get +5, etc. So much damned fun to just play through the game without worrying about power leveling.

Invader or racist. There are your two choices summed up nicely.

Get the Deluxe edition on PC. Jack up the graphics quality, download just a few mods, and it is still a beautiful game. Do it.

Empire, always.
Ulfric is being used by the thalmor to weaken the empire so that they can do their gay elf stuff.
Ulfric is an mk ultra plant and he doesn't know it

LOL, The imperials allow the Thalmor to walk around Skyrim and other lands capturing and torturing/Killing innocent people.

The Nords are simple people who live off the land, put up with horrible weather conditions, and just want to be left alone.

Have you not read the thalmor journal in the embassy?
Ulfric was captured, tortured and the elves are (without ulfric knowing) funding his rebellion after he got away.
Empire meanwhile is not what it was (due to the septims being dead) but the thalmor want them gone
