Even better when it trickles into LFR difficulty.

LFR Kil'Jaeden in Legion was absolutely legendary in this regard in terms of entertainment. That difficulty practically plays itself except for the one raid wipe mechanic on that fight. Personally I thought it was funny watching LFR bots struggle with the one singular mechanic they had to be aware of to not die. Always got a good laugh when I'd load into a new group and see a mountain of corpses around KJ. I knew to pop some popcorn and prepare for a good time.

It's stupid, and I should have not pushed my raid to try for it. We should have just been drinking beers and downing bosses and instead we were banging our heads against the wall dying to lame mechanics Blizz threw in to keep everyone from realizing the new raid they just put out was incredibly short.

If I had to do it over again, we would have just farmed Ulduar, Naxx, the pvp raid, and the dragonflight bosses till the arena raid came out.

Never going back to WOW though so oh well.

I never played WoW but I’m amazed at its longevity with all the shite talking I constantly hear about it.

Probably for the best as I’m addicted to freaking ESO

I'm setup and ready.

Took advantage of the pre Launch invasion event handing out exp like candy. Was fun going from 50 to 60 in about 1.5 hrs and completely skipping shadowlands on all my alts.

Got a War/Envoker/shaman/mage/druid/Lock ready to go for tommorow.

Today is the day assuming servers are up at 5:00pm. Planning on leveling DK first.

I also played EQ on The Rathe, started in May of 2001 and played for a few years on and off. I'm blanking on my guild name right now but we usually fought for 2nd place on the server behind BoTs.

I wish I still had the time to play WoW and I would, I was a beta tester and Day 1 WoW player. Quit and came back a few times but haven't played in years.

I had been playing Neverwinter on the Xbox because it was an easy game to jump in and do a few dungeons, but they had an update a while ago that changed so much that I didn't enjoy playing anymore.

I finished broken shore last night, not a bad area. Going to get back into it tonight at some point. Dragon Flying is ok, not completely on board yet

Is this game even for those who havent played in 10 years? I feel like new players would be completely lost at this point

This was me in Everquest

I quit because my life became:

-Have to log on at this time
-Have to do this hours long progression
-Have to MT
-All so the guild leader could get a leaf or some shite

shite became a job. felt like I was punching a clock

Did you play on PC?

I was a dual boxer on PS2 EQOA. Your story is similar to what mine was. I was in a raid guild that was fun until I retooled my Slayer into an MT Death Knight because my CM count was ridiculously higher than any other tank in the guild.

I lived in max debt for them for about a year after that until I walked away and started a guild with a few other good friends who were also tired of shite being so serious in their respective guilds.

I lived to game back then when I was in my early 20s, and it was nothing to do a 12-14 hour XP grind at Xrags or farming in PoS/PoD... and when I realized that the guild viewed that as "selfish" and a "waste of time I could be spending to better the guild", I told them to FO. I wanted to have fun playing, not have a job playing. I paid monthly dues to those assholes too The Guild Master demanded everyone's email addresses and phone numbers in case they failed to log on for a scheduled raid, and he would sure as shite blow your phone up if they were ready to go and you weren't there... "Oh, your grandma had a stroke and you're in the hospital with her? Sorry to hear that. Can you go home and log on long enough to tank Bertoxxulos for us, and then we'll give you a couple days off?"

The year following starting my own guild was the most fun I had during my time playing EQ. I didn't get much Uber gear after that, but ended up maxing my CM count on my two main toons. I ended up quitting cold turkey one day though, when I realized I had absolutely no life outside of my job and the time I spent online. It still wasn't easy There's a reason they called it "EverCrack".

I'm really considering jumping back it but I'm terrified of the grind to catch up

Can I solo this essentially as a casual?

100% yes and everyone is in same place right now so no grind to catch up. The questing in this one has been the most enjoyable since wrath as well.

I've been enjoying the hell out of the quests. So far Dragonflight is a massive upgrade to the steaming pile of shite that was Shadowlands.

Back in the day that game ate up WAY too much of my time - only to listen to children scream into microphones about how player X "ruined the raid" because their DPS was 1.1 lower than the average or some bullshite.

WoW is basically the reason I stopped playing MMOs. That and EQ2.

Is Exile's Path an entirely new starter area with Dragonflight?

I quit when they started censoring images and languages. My friend was still there and she tell me Dragon Flight is the LBGTQ expansion, is mainly made for that audience.

Didn't get Dragonflight yet, but jumped back in. Haven't played since burning crusade. Good lord it's an entirely different game.

I am actually enjoying it. Mainly because I can casually solo my way through quests
