Saints Row

Played it for a couple days
It's OK.
Probably the worst written of the series. Humor falls flat, seems forced.
Map seems smaller, while technically isn't (loooooots of empty desert).
Gameplay is Saints Row 3, with no choice with regards to level up perks.

Game was heavily influenced by Anita Sarkeesion. It was doomed from the start.

This would have been a perfect opportunity to put out a solid competitor against rockstar, but it appears that they went the woke scold route and kept the same dated design elements that they have been trotting out since the early 360 era.
Trash. I can wait until it’s on deep discount if I waste my time at all.

Something happened to Volition after THQ broke up. Saints Row 4 might be my favorite of the series, but I believe it was created largely as a DLC for Saints Row 3 then converted to a full game with most of the work being done under THQ.
I don't know if it's lack of budget, or if they lost a lot of talent over the years, but Agents of Mayhem and Saints Row (reboot) have an amateurish, low budget feel to them.
Saints Row has some really awful looking animations, and the gunplay is actually a step back from Agents of Mayhem.
The car physics feel are straight out of Agents of Mayhem, so they are super floaty and don't feel like real cars.
I would also say that the open world feels a lot like that of Agents of Mayhem. Granted, there is more to do, but the open world feels so static and dead.
I would much rather have had a remaster of Saints Row II. The original version runs like arse on PC, and I'd like to get a version that has a smooth framerate.

Knew this game was arse from the first trailer. Writing and voice acting seemed like a joke

The OG Saints Row had the best multiplayer game mode ever. It was called 'Protect tha Pimp' and it was fun as shite. Two teams - on one team one of the players was the pimp. He had a pimp hat, no guns but brass knuckles that could 1 shot anyone. The goal was to get the pimp to the exit and the other team had to kill him (they all had guns).
Every map had a choke point in it where the fighting would usually take place. It was literally the only game mode I'd play it was so much fun.
Sadly, there were "glitches" in the game and various lag switch exploits people would use that they never bothered to patch or fix so it went downhill. So many black guys and british guys played it... It was absolutely hilarious listening to them talk shite back and forth

The characters are too annoying looking. I want to punch them all in the face.

Never played a Saints Row game but I saw everyone mocking this POS when it was announced. Sadly this game flopping won't stop the wokifaction of games. The executives at these companies are terrified of employees at this point and refuse to push back. They hired too much purple hair dye and gender confusion and now they are drowning in it.

I’ve been enjoying it so far. Other than one glitch it hasn’t been bad. Some commie loving dialogue but doesn’t strike me as overly woke yet. It’s been fun to play, reminds me of the old saints rows which I liked

The dialogue cringe factor and the tiny map are enough to prevent me from recommending this game to anyone.
Literally every line "the boss" utters, is some sort of quip. Never clever or funny, just forced and eye-roll inducing. Not because of the "woke" factor, because of the awful writing.
It is like the guys who wrote Thor: LaT wrote this
The Map smaller than any other iteration, they say it is bigger, because half the map is empty desert.

That and the complete lack of physics

I actually like the map. The city might be my favorite in the series.
We can't complain about open worlds being too large then turn around and complain whenever a game has a small map. As long as there's stuff to do in the game, it doesn't matter that the map is (or feels) smaller.

Counting only the populated area, I could drive through every district in 10 minutes or less.
