Rory McIlroy PGA Tour 2016? Yes or No?

So after two years EA is ready to put out its new PGA game. I've been bombarded with ads the last 6 months, but I'm just not sold on it yet. I am dying to see what it looks like on the next gen consoles, but the lack of courses and players kind of has me hesitant. What is everyone else's thoughts? Anyone here going to buy it?

It does look pretty gimmicky. The whole playing at night, and obstacle course with targets doesn't really appeal to me. I want challenging courses, tough career mode with hard AI and tournament play, and realistic feel to putting and chipping.

I never played a EA golf game before, does this game have any kind of online multiplayer?

Yeah I believe it does have multiplayer. H2H and different types of games: Match play, skins, etc..

I am going to hold off till Madden usually love these games but I am not looking forward to this one.

Definitely an EA thing. I buy sports games for the realistic feel, not made up nonsense. Just let me lock in the power boost and blast it 340!

If you liked previous ones, this should be as good or better. It's running on the Battlefield engine so it allows them to preload an entire course which eliminates the loading times between holes. Also provides better physics for more realistic ball speeds and environment interaction.
The course lineup is pretty "meh" but they did say they'll be releasing free DLC after the launch. I think once they retain the Masters and Augusta licensing, those will be added (hopefully free but probably not

I'm definitely getting it. The loading times on the previous games was my biggest complaint.

This is what I was thinking. If this came out around the time of Madden, NBA 2k, FIFA, etc I probably wouldnt get it but Im sick of what I have right now so I'll probably pick it up.
Not happy about the course selection one bit, I really hope they add some DLC courses and for free. Glad it has Jason Dufner though
