Finished it this evening.
Wow, that was a hell of a game. Visually incredible for such a huge map. You never stayed still long and there was always a variety of scenery and enemy/boss type. I want to replay already.
I feel like I want to do a full 7 and 8 run through now.
I was also not expecting how little of the demo is even really representative of the full map

Getting to intermittently play and saved just after killing the first daughter. Got a good bit to go I think.
I’m gonna go back and play 7 after this.
I’m actually enjoying this game more than the RE2 remake.

Just finished it tonight. Wow. Story is incredible. If you haven’t played it yet, I definitely recommend playing 7 first bc 8 is connected and they reference a lot of stuff from it.

Stopped right after climbing down the well in House Beneviento.
This house is already way scarier than Dimitrescu Castle and I haven’t even seen an enemy yet.

Outside of a couple sections it’s not a very scary game. Few jump scares here and there but not the long drawn out tense scenes like in other games.

RE7 was a lot scarier but RE8 was the better game. When you combine the 2 games, it’s one great story with a ton of variety when it comes to enemies, the atmosphere, etc and it’s such a well put together set of games.

Completed the doll’s house. Not that hard, but weird as shite.
Got the grenade launcher and working on clearing the whole town.

Got SSS on all Mercenaries stages and unlocked the lightsaber. Should do nicely for my knife only run next

Feel like a dumbass. On my first play through I didn’t think you could kill that werewolf thing that attacks ethans dick without the waterwheel weapon. I spent probably a hour sneaking around. 2nd play through I just shot him like 8 times with the rifle and he died.

Knife-only run complete. Did it in under 3 hours with no heals, no money spent, no inventory rearranging, no crafting.
Bought the STAKE and WCX and got infinite ammo for each. Time to knock out Village of Shadows mode. I got up to the castle and it was insanely hard even with my OP loadout. The lycans are brutally aggressive and everything 2-shots you. Still stressful

Karambit or lightsaber on Casual mode. Wasn’t hard at all. You have to use a gun at certain points (to ring the bells and shite) but you just can’t hit enemies with it
