Wow, this has been a long time coming! The best Red Dead.

ah yes, another based RDR1 preferrer. It doesnt sacrifice fun for the sake of being immersive and cinematic like RDR2 did

brb going listen to hosea yap for 8 minutes on the way to a mission
brb going hold X for 1.5sec 20x to loot this shitty abandoned farmhouse for a dozen different ammo types and tonics that I'll never use

Assuming the port doesn't suck, it's a day 1 for me. I've had RDR2 installed on my PC for ages now, but I just couldn't get myself to pull the trigger on playing it. I think I kept holding out hope that they would drop RDR1

Not sure I can go back to older graphics though.. I may pass, but depending on the price may pull the trigger day 1.

Did you watch the video? It's obviously a little dated, but I don't think it looks bad. Native 4k, adjustable draw distance, shadow quality settings. Generally should be fine.

RDR1 is a better game than RDR2.

RDR2 is a master piece for a variety of reasons but the actually gameplay is pretty meh. It's closer to a sim than any other genre IMO.

And it occasionally sacrifices fun for authenticity for that reason.

They re-released this on modern consoles a few months ago as just a straight port. I really wish they would have at least updated the graphics but I'd still like to play it again. It gives me another excuse to not try to get back into RDR2.

I love both games but yeah there’s no way I could replay RDR2 it would take me a year to finish. I originally played it when I had a lot more free time and loved it but it does have a lot of moving parts going on

I have never replayed any Rockstar open world game ever.

Even the great ones are a one time experience for me. I do try to basically 100% them though. Believe I had 200 hours in RDR2 before I felt I had done everything in it.

Was great experience and one of those games everyone should play, but the idea of slogging through alot if the slow parts again, no way.
