Yeah. It is frustrating at times when the only thing I want to do when I go into Saint Denis is to go to the butcher but end up getting killed right there near the butcher and losing my pelts or animal.

I hope when this thing gets out of the beta, there are opportunities to go inside more buildings or houses to loot or hideout along with either more things to do in the towns or more places to go. I rarely go anywhere below Blackwater because is just not much to do.

Still playing just the story mode. Is it just me or is this game super easy besides the draw duel stuff?

Started playing the story recently. When should I spend money on getting new guns? Is it necessary to donate to my camp?

There’s a side mission where you have to kill a bunch of retired gunslingers. He’s in a bar in valentine. Pick up their guns after you kill each one. You’ll be set on pistols

If you play careful, yes the game is easy. If you run around tackling people and blowing their heads off with sawed off shotguns and using a bow and hatchets, it can get tough yes.

I'm on a second playthrough and I am trying to go "American revolution" style like Mel Gibson in that movie. Hatchets, throwing knives, sawed offs for side arms, bow for longer range stuff and a springfield rifle for when the shite hits the fan or hunting bigger game. It is fun. I'll get back to it when I'm around lvl 50 in online.

Yea I did that one a good bit ago.

Seems like I should spend the money on weapons and the camp

It's fun, but when I go to Saint Denis I just get murdered left and right

I hear ya. For the most part I do all my hunting along the train tracks north of saint denis then when I'm done I follow the tracks all the way back to the butcher. It's the most direct route and easy to avoid players. Max out on gator meat, one perfect gator pelt, and all the pelican, egret, and heron plumes I can carry plus owl feathers at night and I clear 70-90 bucks a trip which isn't too bad. Killing birds is a great way to get your xp up as well since they're 10 a pop and gators are 15.

There is also some decent hunting in the plains between Valentine and Emerald Station. Just lasso 2* and 3* deer and skin them. You can carry like 5-6 pelts and then if you get a good 3* buck or just a final 3*, just kill it and don't skin it and take the entire carcass back to the butcher in valentine. 3* full buck is worth i think like $12 or something like that. Pretty easy to get a $30-$40 run each time.

Unless recently changed, It's $10 full or skinned for a 3 star buck carcass. Skinning it just gives you the pelt and meat for money too.

Maybe it was $10. Whatever it was, I got more for selling the entire carcass than I did for selling pelt, meat, and antlers separate.

I was playing last night and tried to join a posse. When I joined and met up with them, the leader said that he didn't want to be rude but asked me what was I doing. I said that I just wanted to join up with a group and take part in what ever they were doing (fighting another posse, hunting, fishing...etc). He told me that they were just not roaming around or just doing anything but they had objectives that he set that had to be done. He then ask me to leave but I find it funny that he had the posse set to public so that anybody could join. I heard him tell the other members that it was going to be a private posse soon and that members that were invited to the group would have to sign a "contract" saying that they would do certain tasks, wear the same outfits, and not join another posse. He said that the group would be modeled after the Army and they will hold the values of the constitution. He also said they each new member would have to go through a "basic training" to be fully trained to be a member of the posse. Hearing the conversation was prob. the funniest thing I heard since I started playing online.

Dude is an idiot. I had a group of about 15 in RDR1 that we did some of that stuff. Within the posse we had a ranking system/officer levels which dictated the mount you could ride, what color it could be, etc. Each person had certain roles for missions or whatever we were doing. It was actually a lot of fun. frick off trying to sign a contract though and being an idiot who doesn't set the posse to private. What a tool.

Hit lvl 43 last night. I am getting better at PVP, but the only mode I consistently come in top 5 is most wanted. I guess I just have a knack for it. Wish I could just play that mode.

Starting to see less and less varmint rifles, which is a good thing. Even slow and stay 3 can't take a headshot from a bolt action or litch with peak conditioning 3 and express ammo, but it is still super useful.

Slow and Steady 3, Unblinking Eye 2, Eye For an Eye 2, peak conditioning 3 is my card setup right now.

2 semi Autos, Litch Repeater, Repeating shotty is my weapon setup. Once I get to shotgun slugs, I'll probably switch my pistols to dual sawed offs.

Anyone else have a problem when you start quick join story missions, your horse cores are always completely drained? I’ll have full cores before joining, then when the mission starts, completely drained. This happen to anyone else?

How long do I have to do the multi-player intro before I can free roam?

I booted up multi-player with a buddy last night and we both have to do a story before we can free roam

I bought the level 48 Nakota and it doesn't seem to have any noticeable advantage in races over the Red Chestnut arabian they gave us for free. Granted I was only bonding level 2 at the time. Now that I am level 4 I'll give it another shot with my Horse Tee Baw.
