It's a technically sound shooter. The premise is that a meteor devastated the earth and before it hit, humans put a bunch of specialists in "Arks" to rebuild society. Well of course shite went wrong and you wake up as the sole survivor in an emerging ark some years in the future. From there the story ceases to exist as you mindlessly race and complete fetch quests for forgettable and boring people. The end is upon you before you even know it and brings more questions than it answers. Oh, and instead of having a deathmatch style multiplayer - it's a subpar racing simulator.

You might find $9 worth in it, solely because id knows how to make a really good shooter and it is graphically gorgeous. I found the story to be supremely lacking, another characteristic of id.

So not gritty modern combat shooters....

Have you looked at Syndicate? It's a cyberpunk genre shooter, pretty fun with good co-op multiplayer.

I generally play RTS games on PC, but I heard RUSE was pretty solid.

I played it, the idea was great, execution was subpar....which unfortunately happens to a lot of games.

It gets boring really fast unfortunately.

I heard the campaign is like 5 minutes long

I stand by my comments. It rivals kingdom of amalur in fetch quests.

Pinkman plays it on Breaking Bad--It HAS to be good.

I liked it. kinda has some looks of Borderlands with a little Doom(satanism) mixed in. kinda short though, but enjoyable.
