PSA: Save Editing and Cheating in Single Player Games

Some of you are aware that in in the 7th generation onward, it has been more difficult to cheat in video games using traditional methods (action replay, game genie, etc.)
However, it is still very possible to modify your game saves in modern gaming. Cheating moved from console hacking to save editing. Horizon for Xbox 360, Bruteforce for PS3, Save Wizard website for PS4 are just a few.
Some consoles require homebrewing like the 3DS and WiiU. And let me be clear : I do not condone cheating in multiplayer games. Only single player.
So why is there so much misinformation about cheating in modern games today?

Actually, that reminds me of a fun time with that trainer. You could enable town casting, but I believe others couldn't see it unless they were also using the cheat trainer. So I portaled in the middle of a group of enemies in the lower level, then cast a town portal on my friend while he was talking to an NPC. It teleported him down into the middle of the mobs, but the shop menu was still open and wouldn't let him close it. Lost most of his shite cause we couldn't find the spot again

I play around in the editor in football manager quite often.

Save scumming in XCOM is a time honored tradition going back to the first game in the 90s where it was expected to see a Total Party Kill on terror missions early in the game.
