I have a PS4 Pro, but I haven't really played much outside of FIFA and 2K since I got it. I want to break up the sports monotony with a new one-player game.

The last one-player, non-sports games I've had and enjoyed are Fallout 4, Uncharted 4, Far Cry 4 and The Last of Us Remastered.

Everything else is pretty much fair game for recommendations, even older ones on the PS4. I'm kinda clueless on what the best games are, since I pretty much stick to FIFA and 2K all year long.

What should I consider?

Bloodborne if you're into H.P. Lovecraft or bad arse games in general.

Best two games have been listed already.

Only other ones I'd recommend, but I haven't personally played, are Horizon Zero Dawn and Nier.

Aren't they coming out with like a deluxe version of Horizon in a short time? That will come bundled with the DLC or whatever?

I could be totally wrong.

What's your tv's resolution?

Not all games benefit from a pro on 1080p.

Not sure how much fidelity means to you tho.

Edit: I guess they all should somewhat due to boost mode. Not all carry much else benefit for 1080p tho.

Thanks for the recs, y’all. I bought Witcher 3. Downloading now. My TV is a 4K one, for whoever asked.

Horizon looks really cool, though. Might get that later.

Enjoy the Witcher. Probably the best few hundred hours I’ve ever had on a game.

The DLC is also just as good, if not better than the main game.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is a pretty solid choice. Bloodborne and Nioh are both excellent, but can be pretty difficult. I'd only go that route if you wanted a challenging (but also very good) action game.

Wolfenstein II has gotten great reviews, as has Doom.

Keep an eye on buying things online on black Friday. A lot of the games people are mentioning I believe are having huge cuts in price.

I just snagged the Middle Earth: Shadow of War GOTY edition for $9.99 on PSN last week. Kind of a button-masher, but it's fun. If you like Tolkien and if it's still on sale I recommend it. I've heard positive things about ME: Shadow of Mordor as well.
