theres more info in the thread of course, but yeah, most of the big bucks these hunters spend are used to preserve the species
if they (the africans) couldnt make a profit on these animals, they'd have no use for them, so they'd destroy their habitat or poach them without a hesitation

Logically it doesn't make sense but there seems to be certain qualities that we like an animals more than others. Hell I like dogs more than people sometimes.
