I have also watched 3-4 games where the person running the clock is terrible at his job. They forget to stop or start the clock with under a minute left meaning the refs have to stop the game and fix it.
Then you have the UNC game where the dude didn't start the clock with 1.6 seconds left.

Need to lower the college shot clock
Even lowering it to 30 seconds would be a huge improvement.

That and I can't get over the refs and the foul calls you see. That at every level annoys the piss out of me. Just about every time up the court there's a foul called and stoppage of play.
I didn't watch a ton of games, but it was obvious from the game threads that a lot of people weren't too impressed with officiating, which I know, what else is new, but it seemed to come up a lot.
You're seeing this in football now as well. Bad calls are becoming more and more prevalent, and they coming at points where they actually determine the outcome of the games. I'm sort of tired of having the officiating discussion week after week because the refs seem to be regressing in their competency.

Basketball is barely above soccer in sports I really don't care about, but I think it's because of LSU. If LSU isn't good at it, I really am not interested. I might catch a Pels highlight and I think I know that AD23 is awesome and stuff, but other than that I really don't care.

Not sure there is any good way to fix this tho besides maybe holding the refs more responsible.
With that said, I think we take for granted how hard it is to make all lot of those judgement calls.

I can't fricking stand soccer. They are some of the biggest pussies on this earth. They might as well call it Flopper instead of soccer because of the giant amount of pussy flopping that goes on in the game. 120 minutes of little whiney arse runners kicking a fricking ball around and crumbling to the ground in pain holding various parts of the body after a ghost encounter.

I am not a fan of the one and done rule either. I wish they would set it up like baseball. Take the pro route or stay in college for 3 years
I think the NFL plan works. What is it, have to be out of high school at least 3 years regardless? No exceptions. Maybe that's because of the physical nature of football (a high schooler would be killed playing in the NFL), but just for the quality of the game, I think it would serve all of the pro leagues well.
Of course, you become racist when suggesting that a kid has to wait to make his money......I'm sure you know where I'm going with this. It came up when Clowney appeared to be taking it easy this last season.

Yeah call me a bandwagon fan, but since OSU was not good this year, I had so much less interest during the regular season. The last few years I have been all about CBB and OSU because they were good.

I'm not sure how much of a fan of the NBA you are, but this is what it has turned into recently.

When I was young, LSU was in it's glory days in baseball. So, I played lots of baseball as a kid and it became my favorite sport. I don't remember LSU being great in football when I was a kid, but they did get much better when I started school there. Basketball was never that great...maybe the one year they went to the Final Four under Brady, but that's about all I remember.

I think it's the same for me. I used to live for LSU basketball. JP Sports basketball during the week was something I could wait for. That Final 4 run they made a while back was fun. Also living in Florida doesn't help either, but I've slowly stopped caring. I've been a Magic fan since Shaq was there, and have followed them since. When Howard left, I did as well.

It's not as bad as Soccer, but I agree that flopping is becoming a huge problem in the NBA. The NBA has a weird set of rules anyways that I think need to be revisited. The whole Charge/Blocking fouls are just absolutely mind numbing to me. How is a guy who has already taken off for a layup/dunk supposed to alter the trajectory path of his body to avoid a collision with a player is moving towards the semi-circle to get the charge call? It's stupid as shite. If a player is already in mid-air, it should ALWAYS be a blocking foul for anyone who steps in front of him. However, the call depends on your status as an NBA player. If you're Lebron James, it's a blocking/shooting foul, but if you are a mid level player you get hit with a charge. They need to just change the rule to a blocking foul all together and get rid of the charge in that situation.
