Damn those month waits 
It was still pretty friendly in the 360/PS3 days.
Sony back stabbed the crap out of Microsoft during X1/PS4 era, so I am not sure they have any fricks left to give.
We can probably take bets, but Sony gaming has more days behind them, than in front. They have zero long term vision. They will just wait to see what others do.

i'd like to hear more examples of this. i will admit that 3 years to get Destiny DLC is pretty asinine.

- Waited for MSFT to release price and came in $100 less, once again taking a loss on console sales
- Ridiculed the always-on and not needing a disc, yet look where we are today
- Took exclusives and timed exclusives to the stratosphere.
Sony played dirty and there entire model was look at our exclusives. That is not going to play now as the gaming world has changed, so they will eventually be kneeling in front of Microsoft to help them out.
Sony still cares about console sales, while Microsoft has moved to gamer numbers. Xbox/PC/Mobile vs. Sony and their look at our fast hard drive business plan.

Sony should allow Gamepass on Xbox. Make Microsoft look like the bad guy if they balk.

i actually forgot about GTA: III and VC was an "exclusive" to the PS2. i don't know if it was a real exclusive or not, but they did come out the following year. i assume GTA4 was just a carry over.

that's dumb. Blu-Ray was clearly a better product and the 60GB PS3 Phat was $599 while the 20GB 360 was only $399.

i'd still argue that disc lending is still pretty high. and that was the main point of "needing a disc". people still share games and purchase used games and the xbox one, initially, wasn't going to support such a thing. that's when sony released their infamous "how to share your games on PS4" video. now, is that sony's fault?

5 years ago or so yeah. I haven't had a console since PS4 Pro and still no plans to get a PS5.
I don't really see why anyone would get a console nowadays that isn't a kid/someone that can't buy or have a PC. All the big games from either come to PC now and are significantly better versions.

There are plenty of games that don't come out on PC right away and take years to come out on PC. Spiderman, Horizon, God Of War just to name the most recent.

MS also paid for several ports of PS3 exclusives and demanded the global release of said games be delayed so that there could be a simultaneous worldwide release. Weird exclusive buying was at its peak in PS3/360 generation.

That's changing though. New Horizon for example is just 6 months after PS5 release, they can pump it out much quicker now that they've already done one. Sony has stated many times they are bringing more and more games and quicker.
I don't mind waiting 6 months at all for a far superior experience.

Man I don't get it either, but you're dead wrong here.
I think just putting each new COD on Game Pass (even with keeping them on PS) would have tons of people switching.

I have all 3 major consoles and a PC.
It's really hard to beat gaming on the home theater vs sitting in front of the computer screen.
