Phantasmagoria: A Puzzle of Flesh

Who remembers this game from the 90's?
Think this game was at least 3 CDs and was one of the earlier games that had a heavy amount of full motion cutscenes.
Back in the teenage years it was a fun, taboo game because of the gore and brief sex scenes. It got so difficult tedious towards the end I remember looking up a strat guide just to get to the weird arse ending.
Used to love Sierra puzzled based games, they were all very creatively made. Was thinking about downloading this from Steam and running through it like old days.

The first Phantasmagoria was one of my favorite games growing up, but I never played the sequel.
How does this compare to the first one?

Wow, I remember that game. My cousin had it and we watched him play it.
Damn, just realized I should've been the one to create the twitch platform.

I never played the first one. This one you play as a man that thinks he's going crazy. You live a few days of his life which is interesting - waking up, going to work, going on a date, back home.

The original Phantasmagoria was extremely controversial at the time because of a scene in which the main character is raped by her husband.

No, the first one was by Roberta Williams (Kings Quest) where the main character is a woman who moves in with her husband into a house that's cursed by a demonic entity that gradually possesses her husband.

Phantasmagoria was intended to be a horror anthology line with different kinds of horror examined in each game.
Puzzle Of Flesh covers insanity and body horror while the original covers more of a gothic horror.
From what I’ve found, the ideas for the third Phantasmagoria game that never got made instead became the basis of the third Gabriel Knight game.

I remember watching my older brother and our family friend playing this when I was like 8 or 9. That sex scene came out of no where though and luckily it was just us kids watching or else our parents would never have let us finish the game.

One part of the game that's still worth revisiting every so often is when those three guys walk by outside the club.
