Okay. I'll probably be buying most of my games on disk. So I don't really need all that SSD storage? And what are your suggestions for cooling?

You still need storage. Whether you buy the games on DVD or download them from Steam/Origin/Uplay, the outcome is the same. The entire game is installed on your hard drive. Long gone are the days of needing to insert the disc every time you want to play a game on PC. Pretty much every game is activated online with a CD key. There really is no benefit to buying the disk at all, unless you have a low monthly bandwidth cap or painfully slow internet.

Ah, ok. I was going to offer to assemble it when you order the parts.
I suggest reading my guide to selecting parts for a gaming PC. It will give you an idea of what kind of performance to expect and what to prioritize: LINK

Anyone has a 1155/1150 i5, i7 or XEON they are looking to trade or sell?
If I can find a decent deal on an i5 or something like that I have my 4770k

Wow
Will definitely read your guide and research before I really get serious.

I just got a pretty nice 27" 1080p Asus monitor tonight...
I really need to clean out a lot of my extra stuff. Currently have 3 1440s (I'm getting rid of 2), 24" monitor and now this 27" that I'm going to keep with a 1440. That's Not counting the stuff I still have from ilikelsutoo that's still sitting in my closet
Anyone want to buy a monitor?

Which ASUS is it? I've been using a 27" ASUS as my secondary monitor for a while now. It's older though, the VE278Q.

When I get an overage warning from Cox, I immediately start torrenting just because.
I have 7 days left in my billing cycle. I think I'll aim to break my record from Sept. 2013.

This Steam Streaming shtt is amazing.
Ran about 200ft of CAT6 from my server to the master bedroom. The master bedroom HTPC just has a little A4 APU in it and that fckker gets the job done.
This in home streaming shtt will save me tons and tons of money.
EDT: Might finally get that 10C/20T XEON i've always wanted. =)

Damn you sound like me...
I have unpacked motherboards, monitors, cases and whatever just thrown in my closest. Have so much shtt I dont even know what I have. I'm starting to get rid of it all, slowly but the shtt is hard to sell.

I don't care much for an unlocked CPU, reason i'll probably get a XEON with integrated graphics. Its for a decoding not encoding.

Some news today about AMD's Tonga GPU... a bit confusing.
LINK
So, it's kind of sort of like a Tahiti XT with shorter bus. Or maybe more appropriately, it's a 7870 XT with all of the cores unlocked. Guess the performance falling somewhere between Pro and XT makes sense. Supposed to still be 28nm.
Other sites are reporting a rumor (or maybe just speculating) that it's still going to be called an R9-280. Which would be annoying for people who bought the Tahiti Pro LE and want to crossfire.

Tonga, a name you should already be familiar with, is a new mid-range processor that will replace Tahiti core in August. Even though it will have smaller frame buffer and shorter bus, it is reported to be actually faster than Tahiti PRO variant, but not as fast as Tahiti XT.
Tonga is reportedly equipped with 32 Compute Units, which should result in 2048 Stream Cores. Radeon based on Tonga will feature 2GB GDDR5 memory and 256-bit interface.

BLUE
Find my an i7 or XEON w/ HT for under 250. I need it for my ultimate Steam Streaming box. Only IB or HW, no SB shtt.
