So I have something weird going on, and it might be a setting I haven't checked.
My PC will go in to sleep mode, and then wake like a minute later. I checked and it's set to turn off the monitor after 5, go to sleep after 10. But then it wakes back up, goes to sleep, wakes up...IDK.
I checked and all the temps are fine. What setting am I missing?

I bet it's related to Wake-on-LAN behavior. What motherboard do you have? And are you running Win 7?

Go to control panel > Device Manager > Network Adapters.
Right click on your RealTek 8111E ethernet controller and click properties. Go to the advanced tab.
Make sure these two settings are set to disabled: Wake on magic packet
Wake on pattern match
If you have any WiFi adapters that you use with the PC, make sure you do the same to them.

I just right-clicked on computer, clicked manage, and then went to device manager. Is that okay? I kid, I kid. I don't guess it matters, but I had Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller as opposed to 8111E
ILLT, you are the man Screenshots and all. It's like you're prepared for every question anyone ever asks on here. I'm guessing the "build a gaming pc guide" wasn't your first rodeo
I changed both setting to disabled, and no Wi-Fi settings. I planned to always have this pc hardwired. Next time I'm in my office not using my PC i'll see how it goes. Usually the only time I notice it is when my daughter wakes up at 3am and gets in our bed, which essentially relegates me to the bed in my office Since I have to log in for work at around 3 am tonight tho, I'll already be sleeping in here so I don't wake my 8 month pregnant monst....errr, lovely wife
