The Gyazo software is the fricking greatest thing ever for screen shots. Drag a box across your screen over whatever you want to capture, and it automatically uploads and hosts the image.
frick that. I made it a rule from day one that nobody sleeps in our bed but us. Not even the cat or the dog are allowed.

You ever use PSR? I use that at work. When people tell me they are having trouble I set it up and run so I can show them what they are doing wrong

Yea, no pets. But I don't mind daughter. It's easier to let her crash once every two weeks when she has a bad than it is for me to stay awake with her crying for 3 hours and go to work on 3 hour sleep

I'm holding off on buying a gaming pc until GTA V drops. But what's the price range on a pc that can play all modern fps on good settings right now? My budget is 600-900$

Wil I have to spend more money on upgrades to run newer games like Gta 5? And Intel or AMD?
Posted on 6/28/14 at 10:10 pm to Futures Bleak
No. Upgrading constantly is a myth about PC gaming. You can get 4-5 years out of a decent PC usually.

If you don't swap out the RAM every 6 months, your PC will initiate a self-destruct sequence. Similar to the Windows Update timer

Yep, start with a solid configuration, and you're set for a while. A lot of us upgrade a lot because it's a hobbyist thing to do, not a necessity.

Thanks. Do you have any tips for a beginner?
Posted on 6/28/14 at 11:07 pm to Futures Bleak
You'll need to be more specific than that, but yeah. Whatever questions you have, I'll answer.

What is over clocking?

Increasing the performance of your hardware beyond the manufacturer's specification by modifying parameters such as frequency and voltage.

- Build it, don't buy it off the shelf.
- Try to stick with the higher end of your budget if possible.
- Get an SSD for your OS and main programs, and use a hard drive for storage.
- Get at least a basic aftermarket cooler for the CPU, like the Hyper 212.
- Read, read, and read some more about every step of the assembly process. Read your motherboard's manual. In any shred of doubt, use Google. Even if you're sure, use Google.
- Don't buy an anti-virus program. Some might tell you not to run any at all, but Microsoft Security Essentials is perfectly valid, free, and non-intrusive. Don't be stupid with browsing habits.
- Use us as a resource if you're completely lost.
- Do not use the tech board.

Curious as to why you say this. Is it more affordable?
How much storage will I need for just gaming ?

You get more for your money, higher quality components, a better tailored machine, no bloatware, and individual part warranties that don't require you to ship a whole PC (at your expense) for warranty service.
Depends on the games you play. Your typical triple A (mainstream) title is going to be anywhere from 1-50GB. A lot of people go with a 120GB SSD for the OS, core programs, and maybe a few games that benefit from the reduced loads time an SSD would offer -- in addition to a 1TB or 2TB hard drive for music/movies/photos/documents and the rest of their games.
If you intend to treat this solely as a gaming machine and do nothing else on it, an SSD is not necessarily a requirement, though. It makes a huge difference in everyday use (starting windows, launching programs, browsing, etc.), but once you actually launch a game, it doesn't increase frame rate or anything.

Anyone has a 1155/1150 i5, i7 or XEON they are looking to trade or sell?

You should have asked last week. I just sold my 2600k pretty cheap.
