You tell whoever is forcing you to read and respond to let you go RIGHT NOW!

So you claim to build precision custom rifles and BMW engines but you refuse to attempt to snap together 10 pieces inside a box with a few wires? Hmmmmmm.....
I never said I built BMW engines, just that I worked on them. And if I don't want to build the fricking computer then I don't have to, I don't care to, and therefore I don't mind having it built. It's called a lack of interest. But go ahead and continue pondering, I'm sure it will lead you somewhere great.

I may have thought about it, but I could never do it. It's my baby

Excellent comment. You're a Mensa member, aren't you?

Seriously though how much are you paying to have it built?
Just curious.
Just curious.

Why do you feel the need to defend yourself with novels of arrogance?
You assume that because I'm stating that I'm proficient in something I'm being arrogant. God, this is the most hypocritical shite ever.

I guess mostly because I am the type of person that thinks if one man can do it then I can too. There's not much out there that an average person can do that I don't think I could learn to do myself.
I'm the same way. I've built and repaired tons of shite that I wouldn't consider a hobby (disassembling smart phones is the worst), but more of a point of pride. There's not much I can't do since the advent of Google and Youtube.

$100 seems cheap
I would and do gladly pay someone $100 to do things I wouldn't want to do but it's usually shite like changing my shocks or brake shoes. Not something as easy as a PC build.

That's well established and has been for some time.
But your melt is pretty awesome.

This really is one of the better meltdowns in quite some time. Can't wait to hear him explain it away as trolling or something of the like

Out of everyone in this thread, I think you're probably the dumbest.
So, this is for you:
And I'm glad to provide the entertainment. Enjoy the melt, if you want to call it that.

That's standard I think. Remember, it's a 30-minute job, plus a boot disk of automated stress testing, and they'll likely guarantee the work for 30 days or so, but charge for any diagnostics beyond that.
I was charging that to not only build, but select the parts for them, and install the OS. I would charge $150 for my "magic touch" which included the build, some standard software installation, safe overclocking, OS optimizations, etc.
