So the msb was the only sports board I still visited but I'm thinking a self imposed ban from that is coming. That shite is just as dumb as the rest.

None of nVidia's cards have unlocked voltage?

Hell no, they also throttle really bad when above 72C.

The BIOS aren't bad but just super protective. nVidia is big about staying under a predetermined TDP. Only unlocked cards are Classy/Lightning/Matrix I believe.

I grabbed 4 DirecTV DVRs at a repo house today my guys were working at. Each had a 500GB HDD in them. Guess I can use the HDDs to build some PCs to sell.

That makes like 10 HDDs I have gotten in the past few months from working in repos. I am waiting to find a safe in a house that was repo'd due to reverse mortgage where they people died and had no heirs. Y'all will never hear from me again.

If you find some weapons, you can pass them this way on the sly.

Played ac4 again tonight, I really like the game despite some oddities. I'm getting 45-60 fps while sitting mostly around 55. What I don't get that I always have a problem with in ac games is the screen tearing. It's so bad and it drives me crazy.

The tearing is bad unless you enable vsync and reduce your settings to maintain 60 fps (or whatever your monitor's refresh rate is) consistently. Then the tearing goes away completely.

It's brutal, like I said AC is the only series where it is a problem below the refresh rate. I need to mess with the settings and either drop them to maintain 60 or just take it at 30. I'm not sure I like that idea

Man, I have been thinking about getting the Samsung Galaxy Mega. It's a nice size for me since I do a lot of work from the field but it's fricking huge for a phone if I am ever just packing it around on me. Thoughts? Anyone have it?

Don't get it. Its a bigger version of the note 2, not the note 3, so it has previous gen specs. It basically has the specs of the s3, but the same look as the s4, just stretched 1.3"

The nexus 5, HTC one, note 3, LG g2 and s4 are the top android phones. My nexus 5 should be coming in sometime in the next few weeks when they get them back in stock. Its $349, off contract and fully unlocked, running stock android, and has the new 4.4 update which makes it a no brainer, in my opinion.

Lol that's awesome... Really enjoying this game, probably cause I got it free with the 780Ti.

I haven't seen any of you guys talk about unlocking a 290 --> 290X yet?

Did I miss it?

I don't think anyone here has either card, so it hasn't really been in discussion. I haven't read anything about the new cards really, because the more I read about the shiny new toys, the more likely I am to be tempted to make a poor decision. I've already been thinking for the past several weeks of ways to raise the money for 780 tis.

I have been tempted but then again I am always tempted for everything. Whenever I play a game like AC4 that makes me turn down any settings at all I get tempted to upgrade

eta: speaking of which. I found an article that talks about the optimization and the different effects. LINK This can give you some more ideas if you are still tweaking it.

A little +100 on the core wouldn't hurt. Might be able to enable VSync then.

It's already an overclocked 7870. Last time I tried to game with an overclock of about +100 it made little to no difference.

Those factory overclocks are mearly +50s.

Each game is different.
