How big of a deal is it if a gpu's fan is missing a blade? Someone is selling a xfx 7870 ghz for 95 bucks on ebay. Bids will go higher im sure.
It'll sound like complete shite and wouldn't run well. I wouldn't use it until the fan is replaced

My rigs a beast bro I'm a solid 3rd.

Finch, you wouldn't even spend $40 to upgrade to an 8350 and getting you to listen to us and get good parts was like pulling teeth yet a week later you want to spend more money all of a sudden and are even talking about crossfire? WTF?

I don't even know what I have. I just know.

Getting the 8350 didnt make sense to me when i can OC the 8320 to basically match the 8350. And yes, i am crossfiring. But not now. Im just trying to learn about this so i dont go in blinded when the time comes that i do want to upgrade.

The one piece of advice you listen to from here was probably the worst one you could have. Yes it can be pushed far but so can the 8350 and would leave the 8320 behind. FYI though...pushing it that far for prolonged periods of time isn't good for the chip.

I thought the 8350 only went to 4.2 ghz.
Posted on 8/3/13 at 2:27 pm to finchmeister08
they go as high as you can make them go. Every CPU is different when OCing
Posted on 8/3/13 at 2:33 pm to finchmeister08
The 4.2 is just a simple quick OC that anyone can do in 5 minutes without having to worry about temps and voltage adjustments. There are people who know what they are doing pushing 5.0+ on the 8350.
Posted on 8/3/13 at 2:33 pm to bluebarracuda
Ah okay. Maybe i wont need to oc it anytime soon.
Posted on 8/3/13 at 2:52 pm to finchmeister08
Also, Finch, with your sudden interest in crossfire or a higher powered GPU there comes a time when your CPU can bottleneck your system making upgrading your GPU borderline pointless. The 8320 won't do that anytime real soon but I am just saying that $40 could have bought you some more time out of your system.

The 8350 is basically a higher binned 8320...

I sent you a message on steam... Do you have any 6pin to molex adapters? I'm spamming everyone I know that has a video card with this question
I want to game so badly again!
Posted on 8/3/13 at 3:00 pm to stout
Stout, lemme know before you sell that OC formula.
Posted on 8/3/13 at 3:02 pm to bluebarracuda
I know what it is but I still think cutting cost on it was a bad move when it was like a $40 difference.
Now if we are talking about going from a 3570K to a 3770K that's a bit different IMO. At some point diminishing returns kick in.
