They are probably waiting to see what Nvidia's 50 series is priced at and what the performance looks like per sku before releasing. Which is honestly embarrassing. They claimed they were shifting strategies and were going after market share. If they are trying to price their highest end card slightly cheaper than its 50 series counter part, then they will continue to be annihilated. If they want market share they are going to have to take a haircut on their margins because their product can't compete straight up with Nvidia.

Most people are willing to pay an extra 20% or more for Nvidia, so ya. Although, Nvidia is supposedly just announcing the 5080.

If the rumors are true. The 9070 XT will be around 4070ti super to 4080 super levels of performance.
If they price it anything above $500 I don't think they can be considered serious in trying to acquire market share.

Last "leak" I saw was 5% better than 4070ti. That would've been OK at the right price.

Wow and they didn't even announce their GPUs lmao

Leather jacket man gonna go in dry in a little over 4 hours. And when I say that, I mean our wallets.

Intel needs to accept one of the buyout offers. My God the 2XX series is so bad with no improvement from the 1XX series they've completely stalled again.
CPU market is just a total bloodbath now.

Compared to the competition's latest Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D offers up to 64% faster performance and 20% improvement on average, with several games delivering over 20-30% uplifts.

If this is actually legit it fully explains why AMD didn’t want to present anything today

There is absolutely no way that’s legit

We’re currently trying to figure shite out in the CES thread I posted earlier today

It's unfortunately not, the slide on their website says using 4X Frame Generation + DLSS performance mode. That's why he said thanks to AI. 12GB of VRAM is brutal as well but at least it's priced pretty well.
Always too good to be true. Not going over to well on Reddit as a result.
5070TI does seem like the best buy, but damn $200 for basically 4GB of VRAM.

These performance claims are VERY misleading with them using multi-frame generation in the benchmarks.
Looking at raw compute (TFLOPS) the 5090 is about 105 TFLOPS while the 4090 is 83 TFLOPS so about 25% increase, add in the higher memory bandwidth for G7 memory and I'm predicting about a 33% FPS increase when not using frame gen over a 4090.
The 5080 is 56.3 TFLOPS vs 52 TFLOPS for the 4080 Super, with the faster memory it should be like 15% faster than a 4080 Super.
I may be wrong but a 3090TI is 40 Tflops and the 4070TI is 40 TFLOPS and they perform very similarly so I see no reason why this math won't carry over to the next gen.
The 5070TI looks like a pretty good deal at 75% the price of the 5080 while having 83% of the cuda cores and the same amount of VRAM.

Ya, it'll only match the 4090 with games that have mfg.
It also has more cores and memory bandwidth. It should be slightly faster than a 4080 super. I'll probably get that one.

Yes which will net you 10-15% performance increase over the 5070, still for $200 more not great but definitely still the best buy.
If the 5070 was 16GB VRAM I'm not sure many would buy the TI variant so they stuck it with a terrible 12GB and gave a wild marketing pitch that it's equal to the 4090 until you read the fine print about DLSS4 Perf Mode + FG4.

They used such slimey language to cram out all this bs in a way they can’t be called on for false advertising.

That's actually very disappointing performance increase gen on gen especially more so for 5090 as it also a $500 price increase from 4090.

They would've had to make the 5070 a further cut down model of the 5080 to do that. If you're wanting more memory, Hynix and Samsung should be really close to releasing 3gb modules. Nvidia will probably do a 18gb 5070 in the future.

Yeah I wouldn't buy a 12GB card these days, hasn't been enough for the top games for the last couple years already so 5070TI makes the most sense for the future and best price+performance it seems.
