No, I got a Gigabyte windforce 4070 open box new at BestBuy for $450 a month ago.

Now I'm kind of kicking myself for not also getting the 42" LG C2 for $650 open box at the same time. Haven't seen it below $700 since.

I sort of want an oled… but man I really don’t want to have to worry about burn in… also apparently text fringing is big issue and makes reading on oleds pretty awful. If I had an oled, it would have to be dedicated strictly to gaming, but I’d also be worried about long sessions because of the burn in risk if UI elements are static.

That's a sweet upgrade. I need to stop being lazy and get my 12900k and mobo installed

Yeah I'm pretty happy with it. That's a good deal on the 7900X, made no sense to get the 7700X for just $30 less.

Text can be annoying but you can fine tune it in windows good enough.

In my research I haven't found burn in to be an issue using it as a monitor.

Is this a good deal on a bundle?

7900X
ASUS B650E-F ROG Strix Gaming WiFi
G.Skill Flare X5 Series 32GB DDR5-6000 Kit

$550

I feel like that's overkill for gaming though.

Yeah it's great value. Not too sure on the mobo not familiar with it.

I already bought an i5 12400 + B660 bundle there but I haven't opened it yet.

That would be quite the jump in performance from a 12400 to a 7900X.

I don't think it's worth buying anything more than something like a 13600k strictly for gaming.
Although I have the urge to buy a 13900k and put it on the cheapest mobo possible and a stock cooler just to see what happens.

I foresee that 13900k thermal throttling back down to a 13600k

I think he said he bought it(4070) for 450. Much better than my 600. Not bad for a junk card.

All in all, I'm not that impressed, even tho, I wouldn't have paid an extra 200 for the 7900XT. RTX Remix is looking like vaporware. It wouldn't be the first time they did that.

I don't think the 4070 is a junk card but no way in hell it should sell for $600.

Microcenter occasionally has some really good open box deals but you better inspect it in the store (and film it with your phone too) before taking it home.

Yeah this 4070 still had the plastic on the fans and warranty was never registered. Technically it was $470 and I had a $20 BestBuy reward I redeemed.

I'll find some gems here and there.

I don't either.

Inside joke. Well, not that but a dig at a certain poster who called it just that.

Nope. It should've been the 4060ti and sold for 500.

Slight change in plans, sent the 7900X back for a 7700X at $280.

Gigabyte B650 aorus elite ax won't be in until Tues though.
