Darn. That 3400g is poo poo even at 1080p and it's going for above MSRP right now. I want to a really small build I can slap on to my 1080p/120hz monitor that I can bring to BR with me when I'm visiting

All the prices are fricked right now. The Ryzen 5 3600 was just "on-sale" at Newegg for $220 yesterday and sold out

Early summer if no delays. Zen 3 + RDNA2 should be a pretty big jump.

I have a little HP mini pc with an i5 8500t and 16gb of ram in it.

Y'all think that would be enough to use as my stream PC? I had a elgato hd60s lying around, so I thought I would maybe start streaming a little bit in 2021 when I have a lot more time to game

Oh yeah that's way more than enough if that's just handling streaming, 6 core/6 thread i5 should be plenty for a long long time just to handle that

Don't do Webcam, you'll want to pick your nose like 10x more.

It’s fun as frick to be able to do photogrammetry easily and with very decent quality. Been using an iPad Pro for awhile to do it. Most photogrammetry apps suck or require a lot of use and skill to get right. This puts very decent photogrammetry in the hands of anyone.

This helps anyone interested in 3D modeling or design. I have had a lot of fun putting random shite into games and other apps.

Just because it is of no use to you, doesn’t mean it is useless.

i wouldn't say that's it. it's the same way it wouldn't make sense for me to go from playstation to xbox. i have such a big investment in the games/dlc/movies i've bought over the years that it wouldn't make sense to switch. why would i want to buy all that stuff over again?

Ugh, is today the day I finally take my dual monitor mount off my wall for the 2 singles? Been putting it off for weeks just for the hassle of it.

Nice, I considered it but I'm still rocking the previous model of it the CHG70.

They're really good monitors, may take you a few to get used to such an extreme curve though but you'll grow to like it on monitors.

Dooo ittttt. Are you going to do 2 single wall mounts? I love those ~$30 gas spring desk mounts on Amazon. So versatile

Yeah I've got two singles that will sit flush as opposed to the dual that sticks out about 2+ feet in order to get them side by side. Makes them sit out over half my desk or so, hate it.

Maybe, but products decline and change rapidly, I wouldn't want to be forced to stick with something just because of purchases years ago. Seems stupid to me. Especially if it's just movies and/or music that can be moved anywhere.

So I have a little idea for a "portable". I have a spare 120hz 23.6" monitor and almost a full gaming PC.

Mount that monitor to the backside side panel and throwing a handle on top of the case. Would probably brace the monitor and the handle with some wood, might have to find a better way to brace to the monitor. Idk, just throwing out some ideas
