Best Buy was ridiculous today. I did some more reading into 3060 ti and watched more reviews and it is better than I initially thought.

So I tried my luck at purchasing the FE from Best Buy, and holy shite. It’s a god damn mess. When you click “add to cart” it doesn’t actually add it to the cart.

It puts you in this waiting queue, where you wait until it is ready to “let” you add to cart... if there is stock left...

I played around with that, and I got lucky! I was able to add the card to my cart and started the checkout process. Except... it asked me to specify my store location because they weren’t going to ship the card directly to you. You had to specify a store that you could pick it up from.

So I put in my store zip code, and it comes back and tells me “this product is not available in stores within 250 miles of you”.

It’s like fricking hell. Apparently loads of people had this problem. And apparently it’s due to the BOTS yet again screwing up the initial launch and grabbing all the supply.

It’s a god damn mess.

It has gotten absurdly out of hand. It really needs to be on the sellers at this point to figure out a way to limit this. Limiting to 2 per shipping address or IP address or something.

first time huh?

it's been like this for months. Best Buy actually has the best system in terms of giving you a (still small) chance. The bots can't manipulate the APIs as well with the timed inventory release

the whole can't ship/can't pick up at store are just problems that BB has had for months as well, you basically just keep spamming it until it goes through

#1 way to get these things is with an app and Apple Pay. It's how I've gotten mine.

I'm still rocking my $60 moto g7 play I got back in August

Makes me realize how little I use my phone now for anything besides texting, discord and browser use. The camera is absolutely awful, but thankfully I don't take any photos worth a damn anyway

I have a friend like that, always stays on the cheaper older phones as someone that only texts and calls on it.

I'm waiting for my wife to bitch enough about her iphone 7+ to make the jump to a new phone. Whenever that happens I'm definitely going to upgrade to something like the 4a 5g or similar. The only thing I wish this G7 had was a better camera and it would be great

Honestly not far off I used to have a hard on for all the new android phones, but now I just dont give a shite about anything anymore

Edit: except pokemon cards

Some older AR tech Google tried out years ago and killed. Samsung had it for images a few years ago too and BestBuy uses it in their app to show things mounted on your wall. One of those Apple things that 0.01% of their customer base will ever use or even know about.

The base population of all phone companies is dumb anyway so your statement is moot.

Lidar can be used on so many things like 3D crime scenes you can go back to, using the phone as a launch monitor for golf, create depth in photos, and so much more...

It's no secret that android manufacturers usually come out with stuff first but it's when apple does it that it actually gets used.
