No on cares about that though, it isn't a Titan. People just care about price. $1700 after taxes is fricking turrible.

It’s replacing the Titan line.

It's just a 3090. There is no point in mentioning Titan. That's dead.

This is a tough call, 3090 is priced interesting, but the 3080 is priced so well.

Yeah I agree, it's great news for consumers. I'm pumped I'll get a 5900XT for $599 now. Even better.

Although I could see 649 or even the same 699 if it's truly more powerful by a decent bit over the 3080 as rumored.

Same way I feel.

3080 I am priced right, the 3090, not so much.

But I am saving 2 gens in a row by not going SLi. So it is cheaper than years past GPU config.

I will bite the bullet with the 3090, just cause I'm someone who can't make good decisions and hate living in regret.

The 3080s won't stay on shelves though..

I may try and grab a couple 3080s to flip. Hold for a month until stock is depleted and/or covid limited availability and drives up secondary market pre AMD options. Lot of range to drive them up too.

Used to use a bot program to get and flip Yeezys among others. Was a fun little side cash grab for a couple years.

I feel you. I just spent 2K on a cell phone.

I was pretty much all in for the 3090's at the rumored 1299 price I had heard, the 1499 makes it over double and now that really has played with my mind. If I just go with the 3080 this year, I can upgrade again next year and still not equal that price. I need to see the pricing on the EVGA hydro coppers though, nice to not have to change out waterblocks anymore.

Do you guys only do local deals on r/hardwareswap? I don’t even think I post to tell anything, but I want to try to sell/trade my 5700xt for a 20 series Nvidia card.

What am I missing? Looks like the leaks were right.

Same thing I said before. Nothing really new. AMD will have a slightly more powerful 3080, with more VRAM and undercut price.

The overpricing of the 3090 even more than the leaks is also great for AMD. Puts may more emphasis for vast majority of people on the next tier down. Would be amazing if AMD can sit nicely in between both and bridge that huge gap.

Yeah, but the pricing was way lower than expected. They’ve priced the 3070 and 3080 almost at AMD level 3090 isn’t even worth discussing for consumer use, it’s just a better Titan replacement

Maybe you’re right and Big Navi will outclass the 3080. I’d be shocked if it was cheaper though. Nvidia probably has a 20GB 3080 Ti waiting if Big Navi is that much better

Same. 3080 is what everyone should get for games, but I’m sure I’ll end up with a fricking 3090

AMD always undercuts pricing. Always, that's their thing. Only if it were to significantly outpace the 3080 which as I've said isn't supposed to be the case, it's only supposed to be marginally better. You're looking at $599 now for a 5900XT or whatever they call it. Which is great when I paid $399 for my 5700XT.

Nope. I pay and hope it shows up. Absolutely do not do the friends and family on paypal, you lose buyer protection.

Yawn

But $93 this morning =)

3070 @ 499 on par or better with/than 2080Ti?

This reminds me of Big Kepler (OG TITAN) launch. I haven't seen a performance boost like this in years.

I haven't been this excited for an upgrade since idk, Little Kepler or OG TITAN.

Maybe because MSFS crushed my computer even at 1440, but this is a serious upgrade that feels and looks on paper to be worth it.

there will almost certainly be a 16gb 3070 and a 20gb 3080 in several months

makes me want to just get a 3090 from the outset.

Lets just say:

$800 for AIB 3080 + 10% tax + $20 shipping = $900
$1100 for AIB 3080Ti + 10% tax + $20 shipping = $1230

Maybe I get $650 for the 3080 on reddit. I'm at $1480 total cost there.

May as well just get the 3090. Have the best shite for years to come and not have to deal with selling, shipping, etc.

The nerds on reddit tell me that the 3090 will be far better for my Index as well
