You want to know what's crazy? I just sold my PSA 9 dark Charizard 1st Ed Holo for $900

Sad to see it go but I couldn't turn the price down. For reference, i listed it as an auction in February and it sold for (at the time) record high price of $265 but the buyer backed out

I miss the days of building tbh, too many other hobbies now

You still have your Merlin as your primary case?

Yeah, PC gaming is last on my hobby list.

Yes still have the SM8. Love it, for custom water cooling.

Caselab cases are the best built cases ever.

AMD Ryzen 4700G Renoir 8 Core APU Overclocked & Benchmarked at 4.55 GHz Across All Cores, Faster Than The Ryzen 7 3800X & Core i9-10700K

quote:

In the previous leak, we saw the AMD Ryzen 7 4700G pushed to 4.75 GHz which is a remarkable feat for AMD's Zen 2 architecture. The APU will make use of the 7nm Zen 2 CPU cores & the 7nm Vega GPU cores in a monolithic design compared to the chiplet design we've seen on standard Ryzen 3000 'Matisse' CPUs. The monolithic design does come with slightly better efficiency than chiplet offerings and also offers a marked improvement in latency & bandwidth numbers.

I know this isn't a top-brand monitor but....if you need a secondary one it only costs $100 if you enter "gamer" as a coupon code. $140 off

I don't understand curved displays on monitors that small.

Does anyone else here always VPN to stay inside their home network 24/7?

I do it mostly for ad blocking. But also access to my NAS and some Blynk apps I use with RasPis around the house.

I was thinking about the term spun up in reference to VMs the other day.

I wonder if kids 10yrs from now will understand the origin of it's meaning.

Edt: Because spinning platters might not be around in any form.

I think I'm going to grab the Samsung QHD/240 for now.

No HDMI 2.1 on the LG 4K so the only way you can get 4K 10 bit 144 is with DSC and on PS5 you won't be able to do above 4K/60. No local dimming kind of sucks as well, although for the price point it's a fantastic value.

Who knows I'll just wait for reviews. Can't make up my mind.

So ray tracing is still a mess on PC, I'm hopeful that the next gen consoles getting RT will help the development of it. It should.

NVIDIA RTX2080Ti cannot run Watch Dogs Legion Preview Build with 60fps on 1080p/Ultra Settings/RTX

Going to be interesting to see what games are touting RT in the PS5 and at what resolution/RR.

1440p/60 probably with Ray tracing. Hopefully not 30 FPS. Otherwise 1080/60/RT would be lame.

But we know next to nothing about how RT will work from AMD or on the console side.

It is still difficult to push a consistent 60frames at 2160 with all the eye candy turned up. With my 2080Ti under water I still struggle to stay around 70fps at times.

Keep me updated on the monitor hunt. I'm also in the market, and want a new set when Ampere launches.

Still leaning the LG 4K just wish it wasn't 27". Prefer 32" for 4K but it'll be fine.

Just reading up on what DSC is since that's the only way to get 4K 144Hz 10 bit over DP1.4 as there is no HDMI2. 1.

EDT: Nevermind going Samsung Odyssey G7. Better all around monitor, LG monitors don't have the best reputation lately (terrible contrast issues) and VA > IPS these days from what I gather.
