Easy choice is to go from 8 to 16 gigs of ram
I wouldn't spend money on an old standard(ddr3) of ram, if you're planning on building something new in the near future because it's not going to be compatible.
That 1050ti is not doing you any favors, I would get whatever GPU you would want in a new build first. Then start building around it when you find good deals.
You'll get a good bump from overclocking your existing CPU and GPU, if you haven't already.

I caught that 1050 on sale for next to nothing a few years back when I upgraded from my old 760 or whatever it was.
Like I said i'd love to start a new build but that will probably take a while. Also gonna need a lot of help with the MOBO and CPU when that happens. I'm not very familiar with the current ones.
If I come across someone basically giving away some 8gig sticks then I'll snag them....I was just hoping for some short-term satisfaction instead of however long it takes me to build this.

Whatever you to, don't buy used parts. It is dumb.

If you need 4 year old used reference GPU's Coyote and Blue are your guys.

If you want something 3 years old and at least 25% worse for the same price, talk to UH

First I didn't recommend old GPUs, I didn't recommend anything. If I would have I wouldn't recommend older GPU gens because of driver issues.
I just laughed at you for dismissing used parts and putting warranties first.
Understand?
Thanks.

I wouldn't even worry about it. There's not a big enough difference to justify it with your current build.

Brand new and still in production and not reference models >>>

I didn't put warranties first, I said the average consumer cares about warranties.

I'm sorry I started a fight about me needing a slight upgrade

You are such a consumer.
Disgusting.
Edt: and what? Wtf does that have to do with anything ?

Gotcha. I’ll just start shopping around for some deals. I keep forgetting there’s a Microcenter not far from me outside of DC. Problem is that might be a 3 hour drive....might be a 7 hour drive ??

Off topic, but wanted to dump my feelings here over the movie/tv board.
I'm in love.
I can not stop thinking about Star Trek TNG. Can't stop thinking about TNG or dreaming about TNG.
I've been consumed by Star Trek before, but not like this..

Star trek is only good with the recent movies and Patrick Stewart. Rest suck

Not trolling. Wrath of Khan is boring and the new Khan is a much better actor.
