Yes, they are a little "flat", but for 90bucks with excellent battery life I love em.
Perfect for working out.
Never heard of but googling now.

You don't think it's the 2080 Ti Super instead?

Should have a RTX 2080 in a few weeks, looking forward to seeing how GTA Online runs with it along with a couple other games.

How much you paying for it?

It’s a friend of mine and he is selling off his entire rig for less than $700.

What y'all think of this build for 3k? I'm recommending to someone that wants 3K for everything with monitors and stuff.

I dont really see much point in a 4k secondary monitor. Would rather just get a higher resolution 165hz monitor.
And there's absolutely no reason to put a spinning disk in a 3k PC

I have a 1TB NVME in there too. 2TB HDD for mass storage.
I have the 4k for a secondary so can enjoy higher res for the RPGs and the 240/1080 for shooters.
I thought about doing a 1440p/240hz but for 550 plus a cheap 100 dollar 60hz it's equivalent in price.

That would be incredibly awkward, no? I guess I'm just picturing a center monitor and then an angled side monitor for a dual monitor setup. I still like gaming at 1440/165 over 1080/240

Get a 2tb SSD and be done with it. Spinning disks should be no part of a $3k build and they suck anyway

I have the Dell S27DG or something like that and I love it.
It's an older molder, so it doesn't run well at 165hz at all. Running it at 144hz is perfect though

That's the main difference. Do you think $200 extra for the Strix OC is a good buy in this system or do you take the 200 in savings?
I'm not convinced he wants a second monitor.
What if I go with a 3900x or 9900k and with a cheaper 2080 TI like you have?

So I'm at the crossroads of trying to decide on upgrading my current PC or just saving/watching sales for a while and building a new one. Current computer was a budget build from probably 6-7 years ago so I'm sure there's only so much I can upgrade. I really don't know how much of a difference some upgrades make vs others so I need a bit of guidance.
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4 GHz Quad-Core Processor ($314.87 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B75M-HD3 Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard (Purchased For $0.00)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($44.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB Video Card
Easy choice is to go from 8 to 16 gigs of ram. Is there really any difference between the Corsair and Ripjaws brands? There's like 4 dollars difference on Newegg.
I'd love to just dish out the extra cash for an entirely new build that will be easier to upgrade in the future but I don't really do much high level gaming. So I don't really want to dump a ton of cash into something I'm not going to use to its potential. I'll probably be on it even less when the weather gets better so a new build will be a long term project for next fall/winter.
Honestly I think the toughest thing I put my computer through is trying to stream like 3-4 games at a time come football season.
