Their new HEDT lineup can't even beat the 3900X or the 3950X. They had to compare it to last years AMD offerings.

I mean its not new arch. Just a refresh.

But yeah, I year ya..

Yeah, the (+)plus to me just always seemed to represent a "matured" manufacturing process. Exp being AMD's Zen3 7+nm and pass generations from both.

It comes down to the applied "philosophy" when measuring in the nano meters. Both Global and TSMC use different philosophies based on their patented manufacturing processes.

Sort of like how fckked TDP is that we argue about all the time. It is so fckking different what defies TDP from all 3 companies that its just a mess.

But the point is I try not use process nodes as one of the governing factors when comparing performance across streams.

Intel is fckked though, they don't even have it on mobile anymore. 2021 will be an interesting year. With both companies next solutions will be coming to market.

AMD domination at less until Trump's in office.

RX5500 released today from AMD

No pricing yet, but they kept comparing it to a 1650 so I would assume it starts at $150, maybe for a 4 GB model, then offer a 8 GB model for $170-$180? 8GB model at $150 would almost seem too good to be true for launch. The current RX 570 is $150 for 4 GB model at Microcenter and $170 for 8 GB model.

Their own benchmarks had the RX5500 about 25-40% faster than a 1650.

Got a burnt rubber smell inside my pc yesterday. Shut it down and started to check it out. No singed wires that I could see inside it.

So it has to be a psu issue, right? It's a 7 y/o Antec earth watts.

It hasn't done it since, but I'm taking no chances on it. I'm guessing a burnt wire.

Got this as a replacement.

Will be here in a couple days.

In hindsight, this thing was going out a few months ago.

Started to get WHEA BSOD on my overclocks. I upped the voltage a bit and started get them more.

Went to the mobo overclock and it got even worse.

So the power delivery wasn't up to snuff.

Should've noticed this earlier. It was like I was willfully ignorant.

Caps going out in PSUs are crazy. I've opened up things like contained speakers, laptops, etc and caps are blown but damn thing functions nearly perfectly.

my suggestion is play the CoD: Mobile emulator on PC. it plays very similar to a nor Call of Duty game but it plays slower. it should help develop your basic WASD/Mouse skills.

I've gone balls deep in a new hobby--fishkeeping. Almost as expensive as PCs.

Yep, all good. Mostly lurking, just haven't been gaming much other than a recent short-lived obsession with planet coaster. And hollow knight before that.
